Can someone explain how a player can be at level 94, be rated a master and yet have an 87 scoring average? By the way, this person shot par or birdie on every hole.

hi         I may not be the best person to explain this  but will give it a shot . (*¿*)    the first thing need to know is level and teir are somewhat unrelated  . as teirs are based  on average score wich in turn is based on ranked rounds played  in your current tier only . in order to make the master tier i needed to achive a average score of 66.8 . if my next round was 74 this became my new aveage score . a player avrerage score going up as changeing teirs is a common ocurrence  as the game becomes more dificult . the less ranked rounds played in a teir the more dramatic these swings in average score may be .

Level 94 by industry or patience,

    Master by skills,

Average 87 by playing high scores in ranked strokeplay as a Master - it is reset on tier change.

From your description of pars and birdies the suspicion arises that this player (deliberately?) doesn't show his skills in strokeplay but in MP games, which might be called sandbagging, which is rightly frowned apon but not illegal. Alas, if he won any credits against you this will "help" him up to the next tier.
