There isn't exactly any such thing as "rushing" to TL, unless you are a prodigy or a multi.

I was fairly good when I hit legend, even better when I hit my 500th round and I needed an additional 500 rounds, or so,  after my 500th RR as a legend, to hit TL. For me it was about 1000 rounds and at one point I was playing a lot, so lets say I was pulling off 10 rounds a day that is still over 3 months, which I was not doing 10 rounds a day, so  it took me  longer than 3 months to get to TL.

When you hit your 500th round you will see some bigger drops for 50 rounds or so as you weed out the really high scores in your average.  Then as most say you will see average move .01-.02 for every round under 30 depending how good it is. 28's you might see .01, 29's it may move nothing, or .01 every 2nd or 3rd time you hit 29.  Then the last .5-1.0 things get pretty slow unless you can consistently hammer out 26 and 27.

    YankeeAirPirate:
Of course, my sense of urgency to "tier up" was that it appeared by that sampling that there was some ever-so slightly easier competition in TL vs the L tier where I currently reside, thus favoring my odds a tad in the money games. Belay that sense of urgency now

Not sure, maybe my  imagination.  To me the game felt like it got harder to play when I got promoted to TL. Same Tee's and I didn't have too many problems with the green speed.  Just the gameplay got tougher.

Believe me, the TL Tier is not an easier competition. It might look that way looking in from outside, but once your in that Tier...   It's very difficult.

I had heaps of high scores to weed out....lol

When I reached the 500 R/Rounds as TL, my average was dropping  .01 to .06 regardless of scores I was shooting.

It was fun watching the Ave drop like that...lol

Everyone I know says VEM is more apparent for TL's. Still- I am slogging away at ranked rounds for the honor of having it play harder! lol

Levelling up is becoming more important nowadays as clubs are being released at very high levels, and to compete at Legend or T Legend you are going to need that top level equipment.

    No doubt about it.

I was very fortunate to get the special offer R1, and equally fortunate to be able to have the new Nike irons and Versa putter.

I went into a golf shop today to check out the Titleist 714 irons, and got the shock of my life when I saw the price, and no 3 iron, so I am stuck with my old Mizuno's for the forseeable future. The SLDR is $499 ffs

As one who is thiiiiiis close, I note that sometimes a 29 doesn't move me down at all, yet every now and again a 30 will. I guess it's having to juggle 400 scores that causes this.

    Yep. Two words:

    - big number (1/500 = 0.002)

    - rounding for display of only two decimals.
