WGT are always changing the factors that affect ball movement:
1) Wind - sometimes affects the ball more or less than on previous games
2) Green speed
3) Break on greens - the amount you need to allow for breaking putts changes regularly.
4) Missed ding punishment - the amount of movement seen when missing the ding.
If you add in other deviations (VEM, circle of tolerance etc),uneven lies and the amount that they can then fiddle about with that - it allows WGT a huge range of tweaks to ensure that someone playing the game cannot perfect the learned response to get the best shot possible every time.
I dont play anywhere near as much as I used to play (which was never much in terms of what some guys put into WGT) - but I too have noticed a greater wind effect in the past couple of weeks, also downhill putts break much more than they used to - (especially where the break or downhill is close to where the ball starts from - in the past the effect on the break of the ball was pretty negligible close to the starting point and could be discounted to a greater degree, and the break close to the hole more pronounced). Also, the fast moving dots on the green have been tweaked up to affect the break more than before, to the extent that on more holes than before, (in reverse view) you need to aim outside of the screen to get your ball back to the hole.
