Latest Feature Requests - Proposal for WGTIcon and WGT

  Here is the latest list as promised. I have tried to include as many items as possible, but there will probably be some more that I missed.

  The last page was for a brief reason so is not really needed.

  I hope that WGT does listen and obviously would like responses, but that isn't going to happen and I am resigned to that fact. So I will sign off but if there are glaring omissions wall post me. Also if anyone wants to take over the updates I am happy to email the list, possibly via Icon or DB.

  here is what I can do for you.

  If you compile a list, I will comment where I can. I know that we will not be able to comment on #2 at all but I can comment whether I passed it on on if it's something we won't consider anytime soon.

  Alanti's list is pretty complete.  Any comments would be appreciated.  Sometimes it seems like WGT members are beating a dead horse with our product suggestions and we don't get much if any reply.

  BTW, having a CC pool for CC players to make contributions would help the CC's immensely.  It would be nice to have a "hole-in-one" pool that the members buy into, then distribute credits to anyone who makes a hole-in-one within the CC.  The pool can also be used for better gifts for monthly tourney winners!  While I'm not a CC owner, I don't feel it's fair to the owner to have to foot the bill for player gifts.

  Any comments would be appreciated.  Sometimes it seems like WGT members are beating a dead horse with our product suggestions and we don't get much if any reply.

  I was under the same impression but after the last round of updates I am confident that WGT DO listen to our requests and has restored in my belief that these forums can produce changes. So my faith has been restored and I was wrong in my assumption that WGT do not listen!

  In the list (which was compiled from suggestions from other members) are many items that I personally do not think will ever be implemented, nor IMO are required.

  But I do agree that some comments where possible should be answered. When I started the original thread the intention was to partially remove "the shroud of secrecy" and I am still hopeful this will be done in the coming weeks. But I also acknowledge that the Mods cannot divulge certain information that the company cannot release for commercially sensitive reasons.

  Having said that, not everyone will be happy with the possible answers  as no company can please everyone all of the time. I also do not want to see timeframes answered as the worst thing any company can do is make promises they cannot keep, and in the case of this game, changes can result in additional bugs - part and parcel of a programmers nightmare!

  I think there are some great ideas (and again I take no credit for the ideas) in the list that hopefully in time will be implemented, some which may have merit but will be too hard with the current interface and some that have little merit. And after last night, some have been implemented :)

  Besides the typical secrecy involved, I prefer not to comment on many on-going things we have that I can comment for one simple reason: many things that we have going do not have deadlines, so something that I think maybe ready in a 1 month maybe delayed by 6 month due to something getting ahead of it on the list.

  As a fellow computer programmer/engineer, I totally understand, WGTIcon.  Projects that seem simple become extremely complicated, especially when you're in "add/change/debug" mode.  

  It would be nice to know that we aren't simply being ignored and WGT is making every effort to make the game better for everyone!

  The ability to determine what clubs are used in a CC Tourney - I would not be surprised to see this in one of the near future updates

  More courses for Stroke Play - Two coming in 2014 Bandon and Pinehurst

  Ability to change music - perhaps a selection of 6 or so - God I hope so lol
  

  Regularly updated FAQ section  with clear cache etc info – currently outdated - That can be fixed and will look into it later this week to get it updates

  Smoother Swing Meter - 2 new swing meters added may help with some players meters

  More clarity / EXPECTATION MANAGEMENT on what course means. Announcing a par three is not what many thought it meant.

  Thanks for commenting Shoe. I suggested this on page 2 here, but it has probably been suggested by many before me, not sure? But if it does happen, then this would be a great update. Looking forward to a few tournys in the CC area where the playing field is leveled out a bit.
