When are you adding more courses

  I was wondering when you will be adding new course to WGT i have not played WGT in over month ( i used to play every day) the same old courses for me have now become boring and i really think u need to add several courses instead of just doing 'best ofs' ...cheers guys

  Some say there will be Merion by Easter...

  Other "new" courses:

  - any course with Starter equipment from medium tees, perhaps some Uneven Lies?

  - any course with regular equipment from the front tees.

  What's wrong with Oakmont? Anyway there should be a new course within a matter of hours.

  Are you willing to cough up what it costs to add a course?

  Planning takes about 6 months. It takes several days to shoot the several thousands of course images, shoot the helicopter shots, and then put it all together into a what we play here.

  They don't just make up courses. They take thousands of high definition photos of the best courses and then use those photos to program the course. But they have to negotiate with the course owners and pay for the right to use the course. And as we learned last year with Royal Lytham not every course owner will allow their course to be used.

  Full stroke play at Merion will start some time in May. And hopefully we will get Muirfield in June but so far we don't know about that yet.

  Of Course None Of The Courses Are Made Up, Duh!!  They Have The Ability To Do So And I'm Sure People Would Play Them None The Less!!

  lots and lots of photos ... a chopper,,,,,,,2-3 shutter snappers............and walla ---a new golf course is born..

  Do you really think it is that easy.

  There was a news deal that showed how WGT does a course, it should be required reading for anyone who joins the site.

  Think of the thousands of angles from each ball location, think of the places that golf balls go when the WGT players hit them, all of them have to be properly shot and mapped.  The CTTH courses require about 1% of the number of pictures that the stroke play courses require because you hit from a common spot and never hit a second shot.

  The process is long and slow but necessary to give the quality that we have on WGT.  Take a look at the TRUGOLF courses next to the WGT courses and you can see the difference, if it doesn't matter to you then encourage WGT to put on more TruGolf courses.
