Legends that dont have access to the better clubs.

  I made Legend the old hard road way. I certainly understand your pain not having the cannons, however, if your playing from the tips with your clubs, just think what a force you will be when you do get the big sticks. Just keep whacking away.

  When they bumped us all up several years ago the only thing available was the G10's and the old R9 driver. You guys have it made today, enjoy it while it last. 

  .... and I think the best golf ball was the Wgt GI-Sd's. The current crop have it easy these days with the choice in the Pro Shop.

   I understand that and empathize, but they have irons and woods on there that no one in the world is hit in 3 years in amateur or professional golf, if you want to make this a better site, make it a more diverse site in the pro shop, i am just making a case for when the tour manufacturers come out with their new equipment every Februaury, maybe WGT shoud try and overhaul their Pro Shop, rather than as you noted still leaving the old R9s and G10 irons, where equipment nowadays is miles away. This is just my opinion i am not trying to ruffle any feathers.

   

  I understand your complaint sir, this game has hit a roadblock for reasons I'll not post today!  ;)

  you think you guys had it hard i hit legend at level 59.

  Seeing all the proffesional multi stuff going on i can only assume they thought i was a multi guy.

  Though when u look at the one that was recently banned he was level 70 at the time still only a TM with crazy stats averages and money won.

  Ive figured it all out though. when you use equipment to low for your level it just stops working well so you need to upgrade, the max irons looking at the stats should be awesome and they used to be, at first but the higher my level gets the worse they become, look at my scores they are terrible.

  funny though how my driver which is close to my level does everything its meant to do

  I play some, but not nearly as much as before. I also don't spend money like I did. If I could get the R11Ss I would spend the money for the few additional yards. Since I can't, I'm pretty sure my participation will continue to fall off. 

  I was analyzing the putting pretty thoroughly, since I feel that is my weak point (the R11Ss probably wouldn't really help me, but I want them), but I have sort of ceased to think it's worth the trouble.

  I spent a lot of time analyzing winds, including writing my own golf physics engine. I had some really good and accurate numbers down. Then, a couple or so months ago they modified the wind so that it can drop off to zero or double. That's pretty severe gusting. Variation of that magnitude rarely happens to me on the real golf course. My evaluations in real life work in real life a large part of the time. My evaluations here, in the virtual world, are just so much wasted time, now.

  To put it another way: effort no longer pays off. I may as well flip coins. Well, that isn't my cup of tea. I want something where effort above the norm pays off. 

  Just sayin'.

  How about making equipment tier based instead of level based?  

   

  That would keep the playing field lvl for all legends and prevent multi accounters from getting better equipment.

  I was expecting a wide and varied response to your original post and so it's proved to be. I got all giddy the other day when I saw that new, overpriced L98 driver being advertised, but soon calmed down when I realised I was still 7 levels away, which may as well be 107 !

  The Tour Legends have been on saying they had nothing better than an old broken bit of wood for a club in their day and who can argue with them ? They aren't Legends of the game.... they are beyond that and have nothing to prove to anyone.

  I too was moved up to Legend status too soon ( January 1st ), but when I see how early some others have been promoted and the low levels they have, I do wonder how they manage to compete from those Legend tees, which are a whole new ball game, if you don't have the kit to give yourself a chance.

   I thank you for your feedback on this, so of the older players of the game dont like what i am saying and thats ok, but i know i have a valid point. There was no way i should have made legend when i did, i never won an RG, placed good in a few and was lucky enough to knock of some legend and TLs in MP when i was a TM, thats how legend hit, beat a legend in MP, and next thing I know i am a legend, if you look at my score history and rounds played, it was not right, but i accepted it, like I had a choice, and have tried to persevere, but now i dont bother with RGs or many other tourneys because of the lack of equipment to compete until i get to 90 which will take a while for me since i just hit 87. I am not complaining i just want to see a change, ie if your a legend you should be able to have all equipment available, to compete with other legends and TLs in the game, so i did not put my time in, but they made me a legend.

  I used power ups or whatever they were at the time to help me out..............couple $ a pop or whatever at the time.....What I did right or wrong.........not now though.  No more power ups available though and XP boosting aint gonna happen.  Basically from say L79 it's been a hard grind.  I will say though that the other day really (begrudgingly and OK toy shop intoxication) I did upgrade from the G20 driver and buy the R11 driver to go with my L79 Bladez and for whatever reason my average score is serioulsy improving.  On paper distance wise I never expected that kind of difference.....make of that what you will.  I don't care about what any one says the R11 irons must be better than the Bladez and the R11s will be a bit better than the R11 but I am mid L88 so a ways t go.............The game is still fun but playing a TM at Match Play Challenge with better equipment and average no way, and now definitely no L98 TL.............I think WGT have the balance wrong .

   

  You have an aptitude for the game as I think I do.  Now I am not presuming that I am in in top top tier by any stretch but I am a reasonable player in my own little way.  With that in mind it is frustrating doing it with equipment that is inferior to what I could easily make good use of same as you.  I don't begrudge a T Legend getting the new intergalactic canon but it's not aimed at them...It's a long service club item and that's wrong IMHO at least.........Also maybe more wrong that you can get a 275 yard one at Level 48.....the math is easy....just crap...........It's not whinging it's just a crap model and needs to be said I think.......... yeah go sell the 275 yard L48 one as good for business to those powered up to L48 in 5 minutes (I did a bit of that) but they have taken the fun out of being Legend before certainly L88 at lets face it til at least L90 really.............It's OK playing MPC with similarly equipped Legends but a TM with the R11s and L90 R11s or a TM/Legend + with R11s/R1 and R11 irons V G20 Driver and Bladez................who is the favourite LOL.................Hec a good Tour Pro and the L48 from the short Tees.............This is a superb game I thought...my eyes lit up when I came across it.  I am old enough to remember the old Sega Mega Drive version and it's cunningly similar just x1000 better of course but same game play......I really enjoyed that game but in the end it got old, and at Legend 70/80s level for all the reasons above it does start to a bit............Maybe they have decided it's not where the money is??
