NEW L98 Driver

  I think coming out with new products and improvement is admirable and I'm glad you are doing this. I am a L92 Legend and once again I get screwed. When I was in the mid to late Level 80's I looked forward to when I could purchase the R11s driver that was available at L90, I wasn't interested in the regular R11 as I found with friends I played with that had it didn't hit any further than I so why have it. Well what do you do right as I get close to L90 you move it up to L94 so now I have to wait another 6 to 8 months before I could get it. Now that I am L92 and maybe 3 months or so to L94 you come out with this new drive that is a cannon compared to the L94. How do I know this, players I play with just bought it today and are not hitting but AVERAGING 320 yards on their drives. One hit a 305 yard drive against a 20 mile wind straight on wind, with my driver that would have been probably 265. Ok love the improvements but I like many in the same position are getting shafted. Heck now I don't need the L94 driver and want buy it because the L98 is what to get and now I have to wait a year to a year and half before I can get it and by then you will have come out with something that hits even further. I play EVERYDAY, I mean EVERYDAY and you guys are screwing me. I know you are a business and I don't mind paying for the balls clubs or anything else, I have and spent a lot of money, but you are now screwing me and you aren't going to see another dime for that. So when you think you are going to make more money and you will take into consideration the money you are going to LOSE from those like me that got shafted and screwed and will not throw any more money your way. And as a side note this is really going to KILL the integrity of the game. With the L98 driver and how far it hits you are now going to have those Level 98 or higher Tour Pros, Masters and Tour Masters that will be driving almost every green. How is that going to go....think about it, its already an issue now and it just got worse.

  Here, here!  As a compromise, all legends should immediately be able to get the lvl 94 driver. At this point we will not only be playing against those with the lvl 94 but now against those with the lvl 98.  WGT, make this change immediately!

  IRISH great to hear some talking my language..................I sometimes wonder if a few on here have shares in WGT or work for them LOL..........................IF I was level 98 of course I would get 1 LOL...................watch my caddie put on weight because of all the clubs i did not need to carry after.................seriously though this and the L48 one just creates to uneven a playing field and that to me can't be good.  That said I hear Chinajohn who has a sensible input i think.......more views on that would be interesting not people with nothing better to add than people feeling sorry for themselves..............

  His 2nd shots all might not be doing that but you are definitely hitting from different spots than you're used to. Where you might have been in between shots before you're not now and vice versa. Small but interesting learning curve. CD nailed it.  :-)

  I am sure it is an interesting little learning curve............Longer lazy driving just makes it easier soon though IRL or virtual............Shoot maybe WGT are hoping everyone that gets it will throw their R11 irons away and buy the slow meter G20s again LOL

   

  Still on this thing I see. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself you should be happy for the players that have put in years, NOT MONTHS, to be rewarded in this way. But, that isn't happening. Kinda of shame you can't see it that way IMO.

  No we do not see eye to eye at all........................a pro shop that only sells the longest clubs to it's longest members LOL.......And I don't remember saying I felt sorry myself...that's you putting words im my mouth or maybe you will show where I possibly said that.........please do not assume! really never the point :)  I suggest you look at what L98 people are posting..........see what they are saying about the distances...................huge advantages created...........and please don't say feeling sorry for myself ..that's just very silly!

  My perception of your continued campaign on this subject leads me to believe this is all about feeling sorry for yourself for what you can't get....yet.. I can't help myself thinking this no matter if you deny it. It's a perception. You've made no points I haven't read repeatedly before. It's always the same. When the R11S was moved to L94 I read this exact same thing. Same stuff about not being able to compete because those players had an advantage. Well, don't play them. Instead,  play members of your CC that have similar equipment and skill sets. See how easy it is to be happy if you want to be? 

  I have read what the players are saying who've earned the right to buy this club think about it. I have no problem with it at all. They've earned it. It's their toy if they choose to purchase it. Has nothing to do with me at all in that regard. I've not earned it. One player made a point about having to rethink some courses and how they play them. Sounds like the club did it's job. They have some new things to discover instead of it always being the same. Good for them once again.

  Notice a pattern here? I'm happy for them and it makes me think there's a reward for me on the horizon.

  The quick of it is WGT isn't going to change this no matter how much you waste your time protesting. They do what they want and the door isn't locked from the outside.

  Well we must agree to differ.  You repeatedly harp on about rewards for long service and nothing about the good of this game, not the way life works but your opinion granted.................Where you can then continue to  also jump to the conclusion that it's about me feeling sorry myself is just plain extraordinary, but you do .........The people that are legends and Tour Legends and have the new toy of course no grudge to them but you jump on only that..how much rethinking? LOL....I do not begrudge them the toy...you repeatedly seem to want to jump to conclusions based on loose ideas and your thoughts alone. A player saying he has to rethink a course...he never said how much or how long he expected it to take...any one who knows anything about golf will tell you true of course you rethink when you drive every green (over exageration i know) but longer hitting drivers make the GAME EASIER PERIOD, no other way to put that. If you don't agree PLEASE  phone Augusta they will be happy to explain how the course was LENGTHENED to counteract the issue!  Other courses too ALL around the world......check it out!  What WGT either do or do not do is not the major point.............personally I am happy to tell them what I think of the move....I would say that you never know, just perhaps or take your view and just accept...........................New custom is fantastic but as a market matures repeat custom is also nice............no lets not go there LOL

  OK from another thread that I have no part in, and so no way can I vouch for it (now not saying the source anything other than reliable I just do not know the dude). I was not the person asking. Anyways just HAD to add LMAO:

   

  You are 1/3 of the way to 94, and 1/5 to 98. Yes that is WGT math, lvl 90 is 1/3 of lvl 94.

  So at your current pace you can expect to get to lvl 94 by 2019 and lvl 98 by 2028.

  Or at 1000 points per day you are 1000 days from 94 and 2000 days from 98.

   

   

  That's just a joke (well bad one if true)...............................Time to get VERY VERY USED to the R11 and be VERY grateful for it LOL...........the R11s will be in the history museum before I get to care and as for the R1 ............according this...................
