Jason, I totally respect you as a player and like all top players you deserve respect for your acheivements in the game.
But these forums are the only outlet we have to vent, discuss, mentor and advise. If we cannot say anything negative does this mean we should not talk about ab issue?. Yes there are problems with the game (and have seen you venting before lol) but without discussion and WGT knowing our frustrations, then they cannot plan or implement changes.
Whenever there is a problem you must problem solve, and we as a community can put forward our ideas and some hopefully will be taken onboard by WGT.
You say new players will be put off by seeing the forums - I would suggest that they are getting warned about possible pitfalls. And after all when they see a 28 by a hack in a weekly tournament, they must be pretty green around the gills not to see someythng amiss. Yes all games will have cheats and I seriously do not believe this is widespread on WGT, perhaps I am naive, but what does bother me is the reputation of top players who cop the accusations - but I suppose this also comes with the territory (one of which sadly I will never get to).
Yes it is just a game and if someone wants to gamble credits, caveat emptor! Personally I play for fun, not credits so the only impact it has on me is the game I love is tarnished by a very small minority. However I believe multi accounter issue in comparison is widespread and this impacts many players, especially those newbies. So by sweeping things under the carpet as you suggest will do far more damage (especially to those newbies) than raising the issues in the forums.
The great thing about the forum is we all can have some input, and they are only OUR opinions. Then it is up to the reader to decide what is relevant and what is not and make their own mind up on an issue after taking all sides into account. Censureship is a form a dictatorship.
