Lol - I can't play WGT with a single club I have in real life.  I can't even play the ball I use.

I doubt it will change - clearly some of the big names don't want to be involved - or as in the case of Calloway - only limited involvement.

You can't just use a brand name without their permission. I'm pretty sure WGT has approached all the big names in golf. If they haven't then someone isn't doing their job.

I think it's short for ectoplasm, that's the glue that holds 'virtual' clubs and balls together. ;-)

One of the things about this game , is that you never know who the players really are. There is no telling how many people from the real golf industry , may have taken a look at this game, and given it a try. Once they got a dose of the vem / deviation , and how unreal the game plays, backed off. In the real world , golf is a multi-billion dollar industry , and its also a game of honesty and integrity. So the WGT business approach to this game will not sit well with them . This may be why the course development is so slow , and also why we cant get more items for the pro shop. My 2 cents. Happy Swinging

Titleist see their selves as the most premium brand and would never have their stuff in a game, hell golf shops are not even allowed to show there prices on-line, unlike Taylor Made who see everything as advertising.

I suspect the course development rate is more a function of cost and time required than course owners or equipment makers perception of WGT's business approach relative to the online game.

I can more easily imagine Titleist perceiving little or no brand identity/advertising benefits from allowing their products to be digitized for online play.

As far as the VEM/deviation, I doubt that would factor at all.

WGT remains the best online golf experience available.
