Born is right and I think that is going to be a problem with a number of courses as we move forward, especially the British Open courses.
In terms of equipment, that is a double edged sword. Titleist held themselves as a top brand only sold in Pro Shops for years, over the course of the last 20 years they eased that and sell balls in Wal Mart today.
Allowing WGT to put your club into the game has the potential, in my mind, as being a great advertising tool, even if WGT doesn't pay you for the use of your brands, you reach 5 million potential customers many on a daily basis. I play mainly Callaway clubs but I have tried Taylor Made, Cleveland, etc. over the years and half of the game is getting a brand into the consumers mind.
If you think of it in terms of Taylormade and Callaway, WGT is a lot of free advertising.
