@ axstrat - When I was a kid, we used to sit in center field and always harassed Kirby Puckett. At the end of the game he would always send a guy with a hand full of balls for the crowd.

My favorite team is the  Cincinnati  Reds,I remember as a young boy sitting in the out  field at  Crosley  field..Catching balls from practice, before game, from Pete Rose and Ted Kluzuiski...And then a few years latter during the 70 eras at Riverfront stadium, watching probably the best ball team of all time. They were the first National League team to win back-to-back World Championships since the 1922 New York Giants.

The Reds' "Great Eight" were the best ever, as judged by history, the numbers and the accolades."Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Dave Concepcion, George Foster, Ken Griffey, Cesar Geronimo, and Reds manager Sparky Anderson.

toronto blue jays are my favourite team.

i first started watching baseball in 1990 when i was living and working in the bahamas.

one of the tv stations i had was TSN which showed the jays every night so i started supporting them.

in 1991 i went to toronto and watched a live game at the skydome

    BOBTX61:
    A Rod's annual salary is $30 million.

It was $25 million thanks to Texas before he moved east. They spent $250 million on him before the Yankees even thought about it. What did that get Texas? LOL. At least he was good for one ring with New York.

You still have to survive 162 games. Look for the Dodgers to pass the Yankees next year in spending.

Astros manager Bo Porter had this to say:

"When we get on the baseball field with whomever the opponent is, they are not sitting there saying: `Well, their players make more money than us so therefore you're deemed a winner and we're deemed a loser.'"

    Toronto Blue Jays.

I worked on the grounds crew for a short stint, then did a stint unloading the equipment and setting up the lockers for a couple of years. Free tickets and stuff galore.

Had seasons tickets from about 1990 to 1994, then the strike and them sending me a request for payment for a season they were threatening to use replacement players ticked me off, so I have not been much of a fan since.

Looong suffering Washington Senators/Nationals fan. Heart broken when they got knocked out in the playoffs last year; but they have made some improvements and have a real closer now. So hopefully they will make run again this year.

Some of my best memories are of going to the Senators games with my dad as a kid; the Senators were terrible but just being able to hang out with him was as they say...Priceless!
