Dubfore:
It just occured to me recently, I was wondering would the constant use of wedges on greens be a big contributing factor on players shooting regular scores under 60?
I use to use the wedge on the green lots and my avg. was close to 70. I rarely use it now ( maybe once on 9 and maybe not at all) and my avg. is in the low 60's.Sooo..what is your point exactly Dubie ? Personally, it makes zero difference to me what my average is, and if I come up against a shot where the wedge will help" git-r-done", I will use it.
I play some TL friends and can't recall ever seeing one of them hit a wedge on the green.. With that said, it wouldn't matter to me what club they used on the green, since it is a matter of choice and a completely legal shot. To suggest top players are wedging putts on a regular basis is just downright silly.
