Some of the 'points' made here are silly and irrelevant, mentioning big screens tv's for instance, "boredom" and 'it's only a game', so is every sport.
There are issues here and important ones at that. Fairness, fair play and sportsmanship are some, and to a lesser extent, (or maybe more) the win at all costs attitude by certain players.
If players here are investing time, money and effort for their enjoyment, couldn't WGT, at least in competitions where prizes, cash (credits) are at stake, make the changes for the putting compeitions? If players want to use their wedges in their solo games or games where nothing is at stake, (with agreement of opponents), well fine. It's called putting, a difficult skill to master, on or off computer. I suspect maybe too difficult for the 'wedgies' .
Let's a call a spade a spade and make it a level playing field for everyone, putting!
I say we leave it to the members to decide. I'm preparing a petiton in favour of change, I hope you will spread the word and give it your support.
Fair play is good sport.
Thanks for the contributions.

ps: I wonder what WGT's opinion is of all this?
