  Hole 1 at Bethpage seems to be longer than whats said could wgt please check it

  There are a number of holes on WGT that tend to play long.   Most of us long timers are aware of them and just hit the ball a little further on those holes.   Keeping notes will help you on these.   The first at BPB plays about 3 or 4 yards longer to the back left pin.

   Assuming the golf course is using the correct procedure for measuring hole lengths, all yardages given are to the center of the greens.

  On golf courses, yes, but not here.

  Scorecard lengths are to the pin, to one of the pins to be precise. They are also indicated in the top right corner on the tee, even if another tee is being used. Only at Par 3s the indication changes with the pin.

  You'd think the greens supy would move the tees a bit each day?  They're getting all beat up WGT!  Just take a look at BPB #14

  

  If adjusting the hole lengths is impractical, how about mixing in some blue, white or even red tees in with the black tees?  Of course all tee boxes would be the same for everyone in the same tournament.  Just another way to add variety.

  I feel the same way. Would love to see the alternate pins occur equally as much, or at least closer to that. BTW- I have had the back left on STA 1 come up several times recently, and BPB 15 back right twice in two weeks. I always smile when the rarer alt pins come up. Interestingly, last time I had the mid green CCC 7 pin (alt shot game), I got my first HIO. Have not seen that pin since.. I like to pretend it is afraid of me now ;-)

  ...I didn't even know CCC 7 had a middle pin.

  How come we never have to play off the winter matts into a temporary green...lol. How would that look Andyson? :)

  LMAO - saw in another post the rubber mats which I remember from playing in winter in the UK. Until then I had blocked this vision from my memory - somewhat traumatic!

  Now temporary greens!!!!! Is it a gimmie within 2 yards. Those greens tend to be cut as smooth as a cow paddock in the highlands.
