  The course has a good score in it, all that is needed is a deviation burp where it jumps to the next guy in line and somehow forgets you are there.

  That simple. I know plenty of people plodding their way along like I was with their -10, -9, -8 front only to have the wrench thrown in the mix. I played it out all the way out after a bad front a few times without restarting and was able to score -7, -8 back with no problem, but it does seem almost impossible to put together a good front and back in the same round.

  To repeat, the course has a good score in it, all that is needed is a deviation burp where it jumps to the next guy in line and somehow forgets you are there, because the deviations are severe to say the least.

  Knowing where to land is all well and fine also, but if your shot deviates 5 yards sideways, that is out the window.

  Unless they are able to block the deviation/VEM code somehow, there is no other cheat formula for that course or any other, you can auto ding and slow the meter to your hearts content, it will not get you a 53 there.

  It just amazes me how some of you guys can read these breaks

  Amen.  I have good days and bad days just like the rest.  I can have a string of 20+ foot putts made that seem to have cup-seeking technology (OMG, am I cheating by saying that?) and then not be able to hit 5 footers when it matters.  Such is life...

  OH, and to TRutger...clear you cache and flash...maybe your scores will drop.

  Great post. I'm aware that my skill level here is far from elite. One last time I'll express where my frustration lies. It's really two fold. One,expecting this game to be formatted like the real game. Meaning in one way,shooting a 59 is an iconic achievement. 

  Second is the perceived error or margin for based on a server/cpu or mouse,along with the general randomness of the determination what a result will be from a specific lie,club choice and other criteria. Watching a female in a 40-50% lie out hit a male with a 20-30% lie out of the same rough with the same club,how do you agree with executing this perfectly and being out shot by 50 yards? Or teeing off with the same club 2 different times,one with a 13+MPH tail wind,once with a head wind of roughly the same and having the exact same result? It's happened repeatedly. 

  I apologize for my punk ass condescending,"educated",comment. There was no reason to spew that crap.

    Well...with a long iron or wood, a punch shot in many/most cases from 40/50  will out distance a full shot from 25/30.

    Male AV vs Female AV..makes no difference.

  I've never seen this before...assuming both shots were dinged...but you must watch ball flight as well...I can see into elevated/upsloping greens (like the first par 3 at Merion) if you tried top spin/nuetral spin, your shot could bury itself on the upslope.

  Into a head wind, too much back spin will hurt distance as well...so may be what you're seeing?

   

  FWIW..into just about any head wind, my R11s 3w with lvl 71 Nikes will always be way short..I have to choke down on my driver to get it to the hole.

  any wind greater then 9mph in my face i have to choke my driver also, there is 2 ways about going at this hole if u look to left side of pin you will see a slope that curves around back to hole if u can hit that right will roll right to hole but like always comes with risk just like going for the pin if u end up short u screwed in the weeds, or if long an miss putt on champ greens will be looking at a 20 footer coming back.....
