I am sick of people playing 2-3 holes then disconnecting when they haven't won a hole, surely the way to learn, is to keep on playing & practicing, it isn't going to come right overnght. Hacks, Pro's, Tour Pro's, even Masters have been guilty of this over the past few days! I haven't won or been "in the frame" in any of my club competitions in real life, but I dont walk off the course, & resign my membership. Come on will you its only a game, & a "virtual" game at that, man up & play the round out!!!!!

Why bother to tee off?                 i  understand your frustration,  we  all had  members quit on us in the beggining tiers .                I can only say with patience ,i started to meet great members  here, most  became friends ,and they are still today after 2 years+.   ,Joining a active CC  took care of the quitters issues .  And i dont wait to long to get or send invites.                    To finish my post ,i have also  on occasion quited some games in the beggining ,only to realize   how frustrating it was when some players quitted on me .................... I stoped  that  also in the beggining.        The longer we play  we become better players ,and good players   dont quit because they are having a bad round   .               I hope  you will be patient ,  cause in the long run you will have  just good friends  playing with you on a regular basis.       Frapp

Frapp I understand what you are saying, but the chance to play with people of all levels & abilities, from all over the world is what attacts me to this site. If I want to limit myself to a small clique, I can go to my golf club which specialises in small cliques (as I guess most golf clubs do). I enjoy playing with all levels from hack to legend, & I give it my best shot whether I am 3 up or 4 down, the idea of "throwing my teddy out of the pram" & disconnecting never enters my head. If somebody comes to the door, the phone rings, etc I always tell my opponent, & forfeit the game, which to me is the ony honourable way of leaving before the round is finished, I only ask for courtesy instead of tantrums

As long as this attitude is alive, you will see it more often.

Those who rudely quit and throw the 'teddy out of the pram'  dont progress much anyway.

Keep an eye on the 'Completion Percentage' & dont play with those that have a red dot.

That is quite an innacurate indication as well Shrude, I cant remember the last time I left a round but when your game s "frozen" you all seem to get tarred with the same brush!
