Wow, pick on WGT scores and get some strong reactions. I love that you are passionate about the game. First of all I do understand that getting closer to the pin and putting are the keys to going low. It just is much easier if you are 40-50 yards closer. As an older regular golfer, those skills need to improve just to make pars. The ugly American crack was making a joke about myself. Since I was whining about the low scores at a US Open site. As far as equipment goes, I am back to playing starter balls so I know it's harder.
Finally, jimbean346 makes a good point about age and reaction time. I would like to suggest a new game for WGT- the Senior Tour. Members would have to provide proof of age of course. The courses would be shorter with wider fairways. The meter speed would be much, much slower. The ding line much, much wider for older eyes. Only gentle breezes so the old folks can enjoy a relaxing round of golf. Flat greens with very little break. Then maybe I can break 70.
