I have just played with one of the best players on WGT and simply speaking these guys do not make mistakes, so every drive is on the fairway, and every approach is on the green, thereafter ur skills in putting determine how good u are and whether u r competitive.

    It couldn't be more simple.

Wow, pick on WGT scores and get some strong reactions. I love that you are passionate about the game. First of all I do understand that getting closer to the pin and putting are the keys to going low. It just is much easier if you are 40-50 yards closer.  As an older regular golfer, those skills need to improve just to make pars. The ugly American crack was making a joke about myself. Since I was whining about the low scores at a US Open site. As far as equipment goes, I am back to playing starter balls so I know it's harder.

Finally, jimbean346 makes a good point about age and reaction time. I would like to suggest a new game for WGT- the Senior Tour. Members would have to provide proof of age of course. The courses would be  shorter with wider fairways. The meter speed would be much, much slower. The ding line much, much wider for older eyes. Only gentle breezes so the old folks can enjoy a relaxing round of golf. Flat greens with very little break. Then maybe I can break 70.

LOL,  mandatory nap before starting the back 9?

Being a non-golfer in real life this is how I approached the game - hit fairway - hit green - hit the keyboard when I miss the putt :)

Hey, I'm not that old yet. I will add mandatory beer at the 19th hole to my terms and conditions agreement.

Amazing, our putting methods for the game are exactly the same. In real golf I just swear a lot.

After reading thru this topic, I'm surprised no one has mentioned a little video I saw on youtube,  It seems the poster of this video is accusing the top players on WGT of having a hitting bot. Very impressive video if it's true And I mean the cheat engine. The guy still sucks. But after looking at 5 pages of scores in the qualifier at 60 or below, I'm beginning to believe it. I wouldn't use it and have no plans to search for its existence. I play the game for fun. But I am also a realist and realize that many in this world today are and always will be cheaters.  I make no accusations, just an observation.

Now that's the way to write a cheaters post. No belly-aching just says what he sees. No pissing or moaning or crying just his observation. cool

    Hey BubbaCrusher007,

If I wanted to write a cheaters post, I would have. Never mentioned cheating, just that I thought the scores were too low considering the venue.

I should of also said that I dont believe that most of the top players are in fact cheaters. My brother plays this game and joined long after I did. He has surpassed my score and level simply by playing well.  Altho, knowing my brother he probably IS a cheating hack.
