No British Open course, how about a replacement?

Two years ago, Royal St. Georges had not only been announced but the full 18 holes had been released. As such, I believe it's possible to deduce that, for a second year in a row, we won't be getting a British Open course.

Now, this in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, but no replacement course would, I'm sure, cause many to question the commitment of WGT.

Personally I can make do with one new course a year, but knowing that WGT is capable of producing two a year is frustrating. My point, really, is that we should be getting another full course this year, and not just Bandon Dunes. Heck, I'd even be grateful for another TruGolf course some time soon if we don't get another HD course.

A word from WGT on the prospect of any other courses this year would be nice, although I don't really expect it.

    Jack.

    This

is what we get to swallow from the top WGT man.

I expect nothing more, their silence is deafening as usual.

We were promised another Tru-Golf course a while back.

Looks like Bandon Dunes will be next up then probably Pinehurst next summer. Doesn't seem much point in wishing for Hoylake to appear next year.

And Brandon Dunes is only going to be a pitch and putt course (par 3's) So we might as well just play it as a new CTTH course (bad substitute for stroke play)

    how about a replacement?

how about an explanation 1st of all...is it money? is it the shirt n tie guy's not giving permission?...If WGT just came out and told us the truth I'm sure most would understand.

last year there was no British Open and they promised us a good replacement, if i remember correctly it was a couple of poxy Unlimited round tournies.

Enough already with the par 3 only courses!!  Thats like kissing your sister, NO BIG THRILL! There are two courses that we already have as par 3s only, that should be upgraded to full 18 hole courses. I understand there is a lot more cost involved, but a least part of the work and cost is already done. Rather than starting from scratch on a new course. Upgrade Pebble or Harbour Town to a full 18.
