Has WGT announced when we will get more pin locations? How many others? Apologies if this was discussed/posted elsewhere already.

It has neither been announced whether nor when any different pins may be available.

I don't wait for any announcement though because this secrecy has been their business habit for quite a while - different to former times.

It may be a few months but we'll get them.

Track record as I can recall...KI about 4? years maybe, Oak at least 2+...CCC a bit over 2 years..

Oly been here over a year, and still the same ones.

Unsure when SA and BPB started moving some pins.

RSG was out after CCC...and still the same.

I don't see it happening soon;)

That is a shame. I was never into golf until a few friends bugged me to try WGT ("It's free!!!" ... uhhh... lol!!!). I love the math/science aspect, plus the probability side that accompanies every shot. It prompted me to watch real golf tournaments, and being able to finally see a course I play on here get played by top pros was an incredible and fascinating experience (Congressional is next week!). However, it has me yearning for the other hole locations they had during the US Open.

Bethpage was less than a year, but I don't know about any of the others. BPB had a second set of pins before April 2010.

    That is a shame

I agree that it is a shame that it takes so long before alternative pin locations are added. In the case of Merion I have read that over 300,000 photos were taken so hopefully this will mean at least 4 dufferent pin locations were in mind when the shooting was done,

On the predicted assumption that the will be no British Open course or subsitute, maybe they will be added sooner rather than later to keep the peasants happy (Oh WGT, why no announcements?).

Perhaps it would be interesting to spring new pins for the VUS Open lol.

On a similar subject, I would love to see some 4 round monthly comps, and mix them with different pin locations, but one can only but dream.

MB's post is very accurate and true.

With that said, WGT should be coding at minimum, three hole locations when shooting future HD courses.

Let's all see if WGT will take this advice and at least give us three pin placements on the new 9 hole course coming in January 2014.

No information here, but I'm quite sure that they have at least two sets for OLY and MEC.
