Scoton: I'll probably get flamed for posting this
Correct Sir!
Scoton: significant effort into fixing the dozens of known bugs and issues
Yes there are bugs, and have been well documented and I am sure WGT are working on these. But in fairness to WGT they are a relatively rare that one encounters them, but regardless should be fixed. I am not sure what other "issues" you are referring to, so may help if you could list them.
Scoton: many requested features which would really enhance the program
I personally have advocated the need for better communication on the requested features. I do not expect all of them to be implemented but do expect answers on whether they have been accepted in principle for implentation, not decided or rejected. Again I would not press for time frames as no business should give a time frame unless they are assured of meeting that deadline.
What WGT have managed to do IMO, is produce a great golf game. Sure there are some bugs like all games. but this is by far the best golf game around. By not adding new courses the game runs the real danger of stagnating, so stopping all future development to fix minor bugs makes no sense for either the players nor the company.
You seem to have a very in depth knowledge (possibly searching old posts) of the bugs/issues for someone here for such a short time and tend to jump on the "VEM/WGT is out to get me" bandwagon as soon as anyone misses a shot. In my view, many of these players will apportion blame on anything and everything bar themselves. Occasionally in life we have to put our hand up and admit, oops, I got that wrong.
To me it seems more like some players have a vendetta against WGT, again strange for someone new, perhaps they were a pizza delivery boy in another life.
EDIT: I tend to agree with Lonnie about the Baseball, and have stated that in the past as well. As far as I am concerned, if one venture is not profitable, dump it and concemtrate on the core of the business that works. Diversifying does not always pay off.
DOUBLE EDIT: As Andyson has shown in the past, the game has effectively stagnated in terms of growth, so less courses would soon mean a steady decline. It is courses that players want most, they can handle the rare bug/issue.
