WGT Full Course Roll Out History

  I did some research this morning searching the forums and WGT News archives looking for release dates on full courses and new pins.  Some courses were phased in, front 9, back 9, full 18.  The dates here are when full 18 was made available.

  Judging from past performance in prior years I'd say we could reasonably expect in the remaining months of 2013 the following:

  • A new TruGolf 18 hole course (overdue)
  • A 2nd set of pins on Royal St. Georges (long overdue)
  • A 2nd set of pins on Olympic (due)

  Reasonable unless they've downsized their staff to save money or reassigned their golf staff to other projects.

  There was a steady progression and 2011 & 2012 were exciting times as far as new courses were concerned. We also had the addition of the 2 Best of Courses during that time and wgt seemed to be going in a good direction. 2013 column makes for poor reading though. Is this what the future holds for the greatest golf game ever?

  Major courses are great and maybe there is a reason that it got cut back to one per year.

  Why don't they create their own course, with course forging. That would be different . Well I guess I should ask do they have the capability to create their own course?

  A new full 18 hole course is needed,weather it be Tru-golf or any course for that matter!!

  Many thanks Andy. Great stats mate... really interesting.....and quite depressing.

  Like so many others..... I'd take another 18 hole stroke play course, in any format, tomorrow...... and preferably, not another with narrow fairways and greens that are like putting on the side of Mount Everest !
