it should not be offered at all until level 98,  just think a master at  level 93 can get it.

its getting to much about money and have been, they are really screwing this game up  . we had to wait ,why not everyone else.

Agree Harry, although it ought to be available only for Tour Legends no matter what level they are, so, it should not be available to me either.

    Eric

Although i agree this club should be Tier based,i don't agree it should be available only to the TL Tier,as Legends and Tour Legends drive off the same Tees,so we should be able to buy it aswell.

I'm 24,000 from lvl 93, and should have bought the R11S when it was offered at lvl 90 but didn't do my research.  Versagate was a joke and I bought that the day it came out, went back to my Ghost soon there after (I have learned not to get rid of any of my clubs after I buy new ones).

When R1 White (98) came out everyone was saying it was clearing 300yds against the wind or very close to that but going at least 20-30yds further than the listed (287yds) consistently with no wind or headwind.  I have credits to spend but cant trust WGT anymore.  Maybe I'll get a golf bag instead?  LOL!

Wish they had placed this between the currently available L94 and L88 drivers instead of L93.  I'm L91 and as long as it takes now to level up, I'll never get this before it's time runs out.

Too bad, you could have had more of my money, WGT.

FWIW I am L92 and looking hard I think I will get in under the radar for this one.  Played a friend who is renting it and and versus the base R11 he was often a half / club down for his approach.  Par 5s which are all too often out of my range where potential eagle's for him...........I think (hope) WGT may have learnt from Versagate .......I am glad I have not just reached L94 bought the R11S as line's would be finer, but compared to the R11 looks a no brainer...........

I'm such a conformist sometimes lol.
just got mine a few hours ago
and already dropped 0.3 points...it's a canon alright.
plus an actual eagle on the all too elusive BPB#4
great driver. seriously thinking of naming it (is "blackie" taken?).

Yes Jim the Black R1 is miles better than the regular R11. For me though the jury is still out on the distance and forgiveness over the R11s.

I don't find it any longer than the S model. Player say against the wind.....

I been smacking this thingy all over, and i'm not seeing any different spots that my R11s hasn't seen already.

Maybe i don't know how to use it yet mate. I guess time will tell for me. Like i said before though, it is way better than regular R11. So if just going to reach that level, it is a no brainer.

Did you clear your cache and cookies to empty the R11s attributes ?

Good practice after and updates or upgrades.

    Just a thought.

Now that I have played some rounds with the R1 here are my observations vs the R11S- Is it miles longer?- NO. Is it going to AVERAGE longer-YES, absolutely-but not by a ton. Is it easier to 'ding'-somewhat. Is it more forgiving- yes, by a noticeable amount (think difference of forgiveness of R11S vs. R11). You will hit more fairways. You will be more confident cutting some corners (eg BPB #9).

Also the slight difference in trajectory means learning to use spin a bit differently to get maximum distance, or for position on certain holes. I am still learning this part.

Overall I do feel a bit more confident on the tee esp. in situations where a few yards might be the difference of hitting/reaching the fairway or not (like hitting early on KIA #3 into the wind).

I have kept the R11S in inventory up until now, but am now comfortable selling it for a sleeve of balls. I see no downside and perhaps the complaints are because the $35 may not seem worth it to everyone. R1 is not a 'game changer'- but overall it is a modest game enhancer. Again, best feature is forgiveness -fairways hit will go up- a bit; and scoring will be- slightly easier.

Hard to believe this is true, the driver properties are exactly the same in both colors and certainly WGT would say that, the only difference is the color. It would be a fraud to sell two different drivers announcing/claiming exactly same properties for both.

The price difference is for the ones in a hurry (like me) to get the R1 driver.

This is one of the most sensible comments here.

Saying that identical clubs are different in actual distance is just silly and conspiratorial; based on here say not facts.

Has anyone personally bought both drivers and scientifically compared them both? I seriously hope not!!   LMAo

My goodness people will argue about the silliest things.

    And to you conspiracy theorists

Yes we did land on the Moon

I also agree that certain premium clubs should be tier not level based,A major WGT flaw design

But if this was the case, wgt would not get as much revenue.

But this  an entirely different subject

    an entirely different thread

    Happy hitting everyone.
