2nd round of the open...

  Its beginning to look like this 2nd round is WGT's version of the infamous 1974 " Massacre at Winged Foot " US Open..

  Scores are very high for the best of our players, and only a few 2nd round 50's in sight so far.   Conditions for his monster course must be extremely tough....

  Wish the best for remaining players to give it their best shot...

  Heh. Take a look at 1/2 way down page 2 and the first half of 3 at all those 50 somethings  awaiting to get at it.  :-D

  I got massacred 1st round (65) but did much better under the arguably more severe conditions of round 2 (60)...horses for courses I guess.

  Some of the best players who shot in the mid-50s in round 1 have yet to play, so look for some serious fireworks.
