I must admit that I started this thread without much hope but I am happily surprized by the outcome.
Well done Shoe.
Let's see how it goes. A thread could be created during/after the competition for feedback to potentially improve subsequent editions (I indeed hope that this is only the beginning of something running regularly).
Just one point. I am not sure that a round with club restriction is a good idea if it cannot be controlled. It can be fun but it will just throw doubts on the good scores posted. We don't need this I think (especially for the moment if you see what I mean).
Even if you are honest it can be problematic. Indeed, if this is a single play round and if you start the round and forget to set your bag correctly (yeah we getting old and it can happen!), then you are in trouble. If you play it, this is unfair and if you withdraw you are penalized... If this is a round without driver for example, you can still play the round and don't use your driver without having to set your bag before starting the round. But if this is a round with starter club for example, then if your bag is not appropriate there is nothing you can do once you have clicked on "tee off"...
I have no problem to see a mix between single and unlimited rounds. I agree unlimited are quite boring but you can see this as a win/win situation. We waste some balls playing the unlimited tourneys (which is good for WGT) and in turn we get a new competition to play (which is good for us).
So let's see how this competition will look like. Feedbacks will certainly be useful afterward. But you cannot make everyone happy of course.
