    WGTadmin:

Thanks for the comment and idea about widening the ding on the swing meter. That could definitely have an impact on the game, which we would need to research before making a change.

    WGT

Hopefully that was a tongue in cheek response...with slow meter clubs and slow meter balls available, widening the "ding" would be conducive to letting everyone use the "engine" to play! I hit the "ding" on straight in putts, and dead straight tailwinds only, I'm so afraid of the deviations I aim right and hit early on straight on headwinds....however I ding it most of the time when I'm trying to.

In fact, if the meter speed variations are to stop the auto dinger programs, look into removing them and give us a constant meter speed as auto dings are worthless and anyone who uses them can't play with them or without them, AND the meter speed can't stop the "engine" cheat anyway!!!

As someone who very rarely hits the ding. I would prefer a Don't hit the ding pal. As the majority of my best ever shots have happened when I miss the ding by miles. At least then I wouldn't have to concentrate on hitting the allusive ding all the time. I could rest easy knowing i'm just a tad out every time.

I believe there are many players on here who already have their own ding pal, approach pal, and putt pal. They are just not for sale in the pro shop. Yes, I know they are way better than me, it's not, because if they can do it, I should too. To me it is not likely on this game to shoot 8-9 under every round. I will call BS on that until I die. I know I will catch total hell for this remark, I would love to play a round with these people on a 30 second shot clock and let them show me how it is done. I would really appreciate it. Then, and only then will I realize just how much I suck at this game.

Still such a disheartening topic, i sometimes prefer off-ding when im putting, golf is still a game about morals & ethics..

Even if you use a cheat so you hit the ding every time doesn't mean you score well.  When playing multiplay It's fairly easy to work out if someone is using it.   I play quite a lot of random matchplay and alt shot and you get to learn that most who use it. Don't have a clue how to pitch and putt or play in high winds.

So if someone have a good day you'll assume he or she is cheating?

I guess that is the worst part of the existence of cheat possibilities - the suspicions and the accusations.

I am curious though (no I have not read the whole thread) - is there anyone here that has actually tried the "helpers" referred to in this thread? Do they work?

WGT must have tried them, anything else would be close to fraud (knowing that there are ways to cheat a system that people are paying to use. Even betting.

So, WGT, is it possible to cheat with commercially available applications? I think we should know.

Not just a good day, game after game every day.
