Even if you use a cheat so you hit the ding every time doesn't mean you score well.  When playing multiplay It's fairly easy to work out if someone is using it.   I play quite a lot of random matchplay and alt shot and you get to learn that most who use it. Don't have a clue how to pitch and putt or play in high winds.

So if someone have a good day you'll assume he or she is cheating?

I never said how good they may be playing. I just said you can tell if someone maybe using something that slows down the meter, regardless of their score.

I believe there are many players on here who already have their own ding pal, approach pal, and putt pal. They are just not for sale in the pro shop. Yes, I know they are way better than me, it's not, because if they can do it, I should too. To me it is not likely on this game to shoot 8-9 under every round. I will call BS on that until I die. I know I will catch total hell for this remark, I would love to play a round with these people on a 30 second shot clock and let them show me how it is done. I would really appreciate it. Then, and only then will I realize just how much I suck at this game.

I'll go a step further.... I'd like to see somebody shoot a 53 at Pinehurst using my account.  3 sleeves to anybody that can do it.   I know many players have been able to do it under their accounts so I'm suuuuure many people will contact me and take me up on this offer.

FYI Irish, you'll be violating the T&C letting someone else use your account so don't do that.

And btw, it was a good A/S match we had the other day, enjoyed it.

If you know people who play 30 second clocks, please give me their names.  I will friend them right now and play them every chance I get.  When people ask me why I play 45 second matches, I respond with "because it's too hard to get matches with 30 seconds".

I don't use shooting programs (cheats).  I don't use calculators.  I don't wiggle my fingers over and over doing basic mental math.  I don't click every camera angle 3 times before an approach.  Thirty seconds is PLENNNNNNNNTY of time.  I like the idea of a match ending in 10 minutes, 15 tops.

If I had a list of about a dozen guys who played 30s clocks, I would invite them tons.  That'd be awesome.

I wouldn't be the first person to offer up this "test."

I've heard that with all of the greats this game has, none of them took this other regular main Forum poster up on his offer either.  And, yes... it was enjoyable but it always is when we play.  I don't know why we aren't friends anymore though?  lol.  Was it something I said?  lol.

I played a real 18 a couple weeks ago. One guy would lay his driver down, turn it this way and that, plant his feet, pick up his driver and then take another 45 seconds to drive. I told him to do this at home, not when we have 3 more foursomes behind us. He got really pi$$ed. Some people are just too serious about spending a few hours in the fresh air and enjoying them selves.

I'm in. We're already friends, and I usually play a longer clock, but I love the idea. My philosophy is, I am sad to lose to someone who is forgoing judgement for artifice, but whatever, that's their world, and their loss, in my opinion. I am on here for the Spirit of Golf, which I think WGT manages to lend me in my impoverished little place in Kentucky. I am grateful for it. When I meet a true friend who'll play straight up, it is most welcome.
