    renniw52:

Damn shame to see another great one leave, I pay no attention to the crazy low scores because I am positive they cannot be achieved without some help, I have played enough to realize that if practice will allow you to shoot those scores, then I would have some. I have no desire to shoot a score that I did not get 100% on my own, with a little luck or a little skill. To constantly shoot all birds and eagles is total BS and I could not even imagine it meaning anything at all. If you have legitimately reached this skill level then you need to move on and design rockets for NASA. I am sure I will catch a bunch of hell for this post, but like I said, it can not be done without some serious intervention, not game after game. This game will not allow it unless you can by pass the VEM and game manipulation. End of my comment on this subject. I apologize in advance to any one doing it legit, for the others, hope you have no mirrors in your house.

If you are a good putter you can surpass the VEM or whatever it's called. Simple as that, with the nikes and r11's it's very much attainable.

Take care Hans, hope to see you around from time to time. I was out the door or so I thought not long ago. Really not much about this game interests me apart from some cc tournament stuff and alt shot guilding on wgtls..

Hans I know we do not know each other to any degree, but this is indeed sad.  I think it was you that once got accused of cheating by some fool, and the community rightly told the fool where to take that nonsense.  You are an exceptional player and a gentleman.  I can hold some RRs together and shoot reasonable score's when I really take my time, but do not do it like you can.  I don't usually play RGs because I just don't see the level playing field because of what you have said basically.  I am OK with losing, just prefer it on a level playing field.  52s are indeed possible as mine at Cabo (zero wind) showed...If I can do it anyone can, but do do it with the regularity of some in big winds, no way..........

Hans, I hope you reconsider but wish you well whatever.  There is still great fun to be had playing with friends and having a blast. That's the way I look at it and that's a personal thing I know...................I do hope the WGT brass eventually do something along the lines of what you suggest / what good genuine players are telling them often. Well I can hope.............

Take care Hans.  This time WGT really has lost a good one!

My greatest day on WGT was the day Hans put me on his wall as the best "putt" he ever saw (coming from you, that's an honor).  Gonna miss you amigo, hit me up on skype so we can chat.

it has been a glorious journey with all of you at this lovely virtual golf page. I want to thank everyone of the friends and former friends that I made here, especially all fellow Elite CC members and former WGT Ryder Cup players that I had many great talks and games with. The game itself has been the greatest online golf game for the past years in my eyes
It's always sad to see someone leave, so it's good to see the positives of the time which passed. I agree to your opinion about the game. Otherwise, many of us would not have been active here for so long.

Alas, time changes, circumstances change and people change. Therefore, it's not only a leave and an end but also a beginning of something new - good things to come for you, I trust.

    Good luck to you!

Hans, I read over your whole post real carefully. I have to say you hit the nail smack on the head with almost every opinion that you expressed, I couldn't agree more with you overview.

I don't play RG's and never have, I play for fun. It keeps me entertained in my own little fantasy world of video golf lol. I try not to take this game very seriously for the many reason that you mentioned.

I really respect you opinion because I think you wrote a really objective and inteligent thread here and it's a very interesting topic. I love the game and it's nice to get an objective opinion in regard to where the game is heading.

Interesting thread, A real good read. Thanks Hans. Farewell for now.

    Jeff

Uneven lies would be a great way to increase the difficulty and reduce the calculability of the game.

    Sad, sad day. x10.

Wish i can come back the first days 2 years ago when i joined WGT with many enthusiasm because i found it be really as same as virtual of real sport. I used to be very happy when making a birdie. 2 months ago, after a round shooting 53 RG, i was not happy, i felt this game same as other cartoon game. Nowaday the game is so bored with very low scores (5x...) & i lost all my incentives. I saw many guys lost their credit when shooting -13 (59 in St Andrew 400 cr RG). It is worth spending your time for making efforts shot -14, -15 for only reason of non losing credit ??? Something wrong direction of your nice game WGT? As Hanswurst72 said, Uneven lie should be gr8 way for all. It tougher but much more fun than flat game & be able to anti cheating flat program. I enjoyed much when playing in that conditions.

why are you all still playing if you all feel like you do????, its a game, dont buy credits earn them wgt will lower prices if we stop buying things and entering RGs, I find if I enter RGs or pay for CC tourneys my meter develops tourettes so I stick to the normal free games if I can and maybe once a month pay $5 for balls

Goodbye everybody, it has been a great time.

It's really a sad day, Ryder mate. For what it's worth, I agree with everything you wrote in your farewell message. After 4 years, WGT looks frozen with the same old format, and there's no timeline of some brand new challenges. Only friends, CC and some community tourneys keep me busy here atm.

Best of luck and take care, my friend.

    Luciano

(And we lost last year Ryder Cup format manager too, darn)

Sorry to see one of the 'big guns' leaving, read your post and a lot of it makes sense. l'm not that good a legend but have got now to a point where for the first time since joining l can honestly say l'm 'bored'.

l log on every day just to collect XP points just through playing one hole or a random three practice round and read the forum pages as and when.

Personally l think WGT aren't really interested in anyone who doesn't spend 'real money' on here, after all its a business, hence the demise of gift cards!

Anyway, sorry to see you go, who knows, like you say if things change you may return?

*edit* things changing, you have more chance of getting $hit from a rocking horse!!
