in my opinion ready go and various other tournaments should count MORE towards your actual ranking than playing well in a different more casual multiplayer environment.

so much of the game is mental toughness and seeing what players have that element is better statistically represented under single play tournament circumstances with "something" on the line..  either money in the case of a ready go..  or knowing your free tournament score will at least be posted and viewable (withdrawals should count strongly against someones rating to ensure they dont hide their bad play through this function)..

again single play  format should count for more than scores posted in unlimited entry formats to keep that pressure element intact and represented in the stats

Its apples and oranges playing with real pressure versus a friendly multiplayer game.     make sure the right stats are being considered that best represent both reactionary and mental skill.

I also hope things such as scrambles and sand saves have there place in determing similar toughness..

Excellent plan Alex you will find many players entering many more big tourneys since they will hav e a chance. My average is 65 to 66 in master but I don't even bother right now playing in these tourney' s because I don't have a chance against elite player's who shoot always in the 20's and 50's consistently. This will be great for all who cannot devote major hours everyday to the game. This game is great and will soon be greater hats off to the WGT team.

I totally agree with my fellow  master which  that I have no chance of competing with. Tiers seem to be fine but equipment should not be available to anyone. Sand bagging with increase a thousand fold under this format. Cash888 is a perfect example of a player who quits to keep an average. You need to reach a level to get access to better equipment. Think of it as a class rating like a drivers licence. Please listen to someone like BollixinBruges who is looking at this from a practical angle. Although he is so freaking good he does have a point lol.

what i get really sick of is when playing and you are playing well against others and they are losing is when thy DELIBRATELY disconnect.

Those persons should be deducted points and extra points awareded to the other person.

WGT should have something that automatically posts your score and with something that says within their profile that they have scratched from games to let other players knoe.

"Later this month" It's the 24th, how much "Later" is it going to be? Give us a clue when this big change might take place and long the servers will be down during the change? Cheers, Walter.

Some of us can't play in read go's so calculating our handicaps or average score based on that won't work for me.  I try to play in some of the weekly tournaments but many of them are multiplay so if you start bad on them you quick and play it again.  I don't know the solution as too tiers, pretty much every opinion has been expressed.  However in my 40 plus years of golf, I can assure you that sandbaggers always find a way to slither around no matter what.

Perhaps in this update you can also add Kosovo in a list of countries.

I agree! I currently shoot 75 and am frustrated that there isn't some way to make it worth my while to compete against someone shooting a 70. How do I stand a chance of winning? You people are all complaining that if I had better equipment and shooting from a shorter tee, you might lose. Why do you compete if your egos are that fragile? WGT can not please everyone as we all know in real life, but they are attempting to. I for one have quit many a single player game because of the lousy score affecting my average and you masters are complaining about losing to me? Thank you WGT for trying to help us beginner and intermediate golfers.

We understand the frustration but try to put yourself into our shoes... The higher tiered players here have spent untold hours and money to achieve what we've been able to accomplish. For the rewards of all of that money and effort to be that WGT makes it possible for someone to play from the Amateur tees with Master grade equipment is highly unacceptable to this player. What incentive is there for new people to put in the time and expense that we had to to reach our level of proficiency if they can hit the ball 300 yards from day one?

My ego has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. If you beat me heads up, I can and will take it like a man and will congratulate you on your win. But if you beat me because you have an unfair advantage, say 50 yards closer off of the tee with the same clubs that I had to EARN my way into, then I'm not going to be real happy about it.

It would be tantamount to NASCAR "leveling the playing field" by putting governors on the better drivers' cars so that the rookies have a better chance of winning.

I don't have a problem with the new tiers in fact, I endorse them, but making higher tiered equipment available to Hacks without making everyone play on the same course is not gonna make old macbar a very happy camper. I'm good at this game because I worked at it and EARNED that status.

What is it with the entitlement mentality in this country these days? I can't hit a golf ball like Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson and I never will. But that doesn't mean that the PGA ought to move them back 100 yards at the tee box and set the courses up to a lower standard to make it  "fairer" for me.

Everyone could have the same equipment but make them all play from the same tees and with the same green speeds and other conditions that masters have to deal with. THEN it will be a fair game and the cream will once again rise to the top.
