    DRogers5864:

    For Mushy...

on my putting avg per hole of 1.96 and my 1 putt @23.37, is it safe to say around 1 putt% @ 50 that the avg per hole will be at 1.25 or so???

    No...too many variables...I think my 1 putt is close to 50%?...but I'm at 1.5

Plus, as mentioned before, it's hard to bring down the putts-per-hole after a year of just whacking it around (ask me how I know :) ).

So sorry, no definite answer and I'm now flummoxed

LOL, sorry guy, I wouldn't do that on purpose. I think what really tore my stats up is when I first joined all I knew hot to do was play tournaments. I dont recall seeing a red tee..lol. I am trying to get them at least respectable

    tyvm for your help!

funny you should mention that, I am an off ding putter and have been from the start. I was thinking most people are because I don't see the recital being that accurate. what style of putter are you if you don't mind me asking?

The pace of the putt is always going to affect the line, so for me pace and attempting to play 1 to 1.5 feet past the hole is key (never up never in) once you have the pace then the line of the putt tends to sink in with trial and error.

Sorry I can’t be more scientific, but putting in VR is like RL “touch and feel” and most of all practice.

For what it’s worth I tend to be a ding putter on any putt more than 6 feet less than that I miss to compensate for the break and hit hard.

Just for it's comedy value I will state that I have a 'miss the ding & miss the hole' putting style.

    Good Evening,

I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far to this thread. Many of you have knowledge of this game that I feel is beneficial to everyone on here. From Hack  right up to the seasoned player. Also feel free to add your video tips as well; since a picture is worth a thousand words.

Hopefully our next post will be titled " Free Lesson Weekly: Managing Your Short Game

Maybe by the end of this week we could start the second part of this thread. So please everyone please contribute your valuable knowledge of putting until then.

    Sincerely

    Joe
