Below is a pic which may just confuse some of ya, but first let me explain what happens in a downhill breaking putt, there are two forces at play, the downhill momentum and also the left right breaking momentum, which is why so many of us undertestimate the amount of break.
It is so easy just to run 7 or 8 feet past the hole, yet you may have judged the distance perfectly.
Quite common.
This method which i have tried to illustrate stops u doing that, as I also recommend u subtract a fraction more off the power simply because of the break, as explained above.
If u can visualise the last 3 - 4 feet of the path of the ball to the hole then u will never be far away. Dont forget as the ball is approaching the hole it is travelling very slowly and therefore taking much more break, thats what I mean by visualisation.
