Great visual tip, I have one question on these bendy putts, does anyone add a wee bit more strength as the ball is traveling in a arc and therefore has to  travel further?

Yes depending on the both elevation and break I will increase the distance of the putt.

Since I usually am a miss the ding type of putter I would putt the above shot for around 20-21 feet to follow the arc of the the break from right to left facing the hole. And am usually pretty accurate in making the putt or very close for the second putt.

I am definitely more comfortable with this type of putting; other types just seem foreign to me.

For the longest was a Aim and hit the ding (Nervous netty putter).  Then one day I read a thread about missing the ding.  Went out and practiced missing the ding right or left and was amazed at how much I loved it.

Now I have no fear of the putt. Unless it is 60 ft 3ft downhill lol.   Dont get me wrong, I am not a great putter, but I embrace the putt and a lot more relaxed when I play.

Now I need to get the flop shot down.

Below is a pic which may just confuse some of ya, but first let me explain what happens in a downhill breaking putt, there are two forces at play, the downhill momentum and also the left right breaking momentum, which is why so many of us undertestimate the amount of break.

It is so easy just to run 7 or 8 feet past the hole, yet you may have judged the distance perfectly.

    Quite common.

This method which i have tried to illustrate stops u doing that, as I also recommend u subtract a fraction more off the power simply because of the break, as explained above.

If u can visualise the last 3 - 4 feet of the path of the ball to the hole then u will never be far away. Dont forget as the ball is approaching the hole it is travelling very slowly and therefore taking much more break, thats what I mean by visualisation.
