And there they are already, lol!
James had a tough time with the putter (evidenced by almost the lowest total distance putts made for the round), otherwise his score would have been very fine indeed.
He was unlucky too with some difficult winds, especially on the easier par 3s, which played downwind to front pins. But then we got tailwinds on some of the longer, tougher holes, both making regulation 2-putt pars on #15, for instance. James played shot of the day at #9, having found rough with his second, and had to punch out: from 30-odd yards short of green he played a stupendous pitch that took the slopes and almost rolled round and back in down the hill.
[Just for kicks, and because it didn't matter in this marked round, I played for the other fairway to the right on my 2nd at the par 5 4th, then knocked a beauty to under 5 feet... but missed the glory putt, lol! 16 straight pars with a lot of near-birdie putts, were followed by 2 practically straight 7 footers, one that went in on #17, and one where I missed the ding horribly on #18.]
James took his pics on the 9th, cos I'd said I might only have time to do 9, so here are some extras I took on the 17th, and the individual versions of the cards, just to (sort of) show no Gimmes were used (which I can guarantee anyway)!
