Both of them are beautiful shots, David, Tom!!! (although if it was a competition, I think the one from an uneven lie rather than the tee shot might have to edge it, lol!)

I saw your eagle show up as a friend update, Tom, and was really hoping it was in your real round. Ah well... !

Thanks to both bhoese and Hyena for marking for me.

Just finished Round 2.  Started about 45 minutes late.  Terrible time staying connected at first - lots of drops.  Played a 3 hole game first with little connection issue, but had to restart the 18-hole round after three disconnections.  I might only do 9 holes at a time in the future.  18 holes is a bit too much.

**Disclaimer My recap may or may not be completely accurate on the distance of putts, as I am pretty tired and not recalling that well.**

#1 Round started out horrible.  Bad miss chime line right that somehow found the fairway.  Then another miss chime left that went exactly where I didn't want it to go - the bunker.  Saved from a orange/red lie with this shot: http://www.wgt.com/replay.aspx?ID=eecf10d9-ba04-46af-8c8e-a24700a95c3e

#2 Missed Birdie by about 2.5 left from 25ft or so below the hole at the front of green.

#5 Missed birdie by 3 or 4 inches from about 23ft.

#6 Birdied from about 14ft or so above and to the right of the pin.

#7 Got a good wind, but bogied with a bad drive and then a bad approach that landed on front left fringe on the bottom of the ridge - missed the par putt by  inches.

#8 3 Iron approach to 7.7ft, but somehow the put came up short.  I dinged 7ft power for STANDARD greens.  This was downwind and 0ft downhill FAST greens, but it only went about 6.9ft.  I read the lie on the tap in and it was downhill - no half sleep dyslexic mistake.  This should have been 3 birdies in a row: 6, 7, 8.  I  was so upset that the the putt came up unbelievably short that I missed ding on the 9th from the tee.

#9 Ended up in orange lie in 20-25% rough short of the fairway. 3 Wood found the right hand bunker in the middle of the fairway.  9 Iron punch barely cleared lip.  LW or SW to about 9ft.  After the 8th hole miss, I wasn't sure what to do with speed anymore.  Missed bogey for 2 putt double :(.

#10 3 Wood approach found left hand rough between bunker and green.  LW Pitch went about 12ft passed.  Barely rattled in what I remember as a triple breaker for par.

#11  Aimed right edge of the green, missed chime line left and the wind and slope rolled it below the ridge and in the rough.  Failed LW Pitch from yellow/orange lie only went 7yd landing and then rolled back down the hill.....about 44ft up the huge ridge, left-right breaker for par - putt stopped about 4in. from the hole.

#12 Horrible side lie from the fairway.  Aimed about 30yd left of the green, ended up about 25ft below the hole for birdie.  Apparently hyena disconnected and we reloaded. Sleepy chime line miss barely and putt ended up about 8 inches away.

#14 Decent drive, decent 2nd shot, then I fatigue began to weigh me down and hit a 7 Iron way over the green.  LW Pitch went about 15 or so ft left of the pin from the back of the green.  Missed par putt by inches.  Bogey both Par 5's and one Par 3 - not good.

#16 Birdied it from about 12ft above the hole, 6in. downhill.  Birdies on basic Par 3's after unacceptable bogeys on Par 5's and Par 3's bring very little satisfaction.

#17 Bogey after rimming the par put on the same side of the hole as my marker (hyena) did.  Double rimmer.

    #18, missed birdie putt again.

I don't think I did any three putts this round.  I was on the fringe on #7, so I don't think that is considered a putt, am I right?  If not for last rounds last hole debacle I might be without any 3 putts for both rounds.  By the way, I'd like to say that any prizes that I may be eligible to receive I'd like to pass on them and let anyone else receive them.

Anyway, if you look at my Back 9 scorecard it says I had one three putt on the 16th, a hole which I birdied in two shots.  Very strange.

    ---------------------

Round 2 deadline is midnight PDT, Sunday.

    -----------------------------

Round 3 at Olympic is theoretically open for play as of today... but it's hard for me to make pairings with so many games unfinished, and an unclear leaderboard.

Here are a few pairings I can be confident will work (for good time overlap and rough proximity in scores):

3rd Round Pairings so far (incomplete):

    filmslayer & seemorehair

    BigInigoMontoya & ColumbusStorm

    deedles77 & ljbast

JayO92 & GolfingJMan (dependent on JMan's internet; he may need to play 9s with markers instead)

hobbe95 & MatildaIgaly (note: only weekend overlap for this pairing! let me know if this won't work)

I hope to add to this list during the day...

    ----------------------

Also, I want to let folks know that it's difficult for me to get online at the weekend, so please don't rely on PMs at this time. Also post in the thread, especially if you need a marker.

If anyone really needs to get their 3rd round in today, it's OK to find someone else in the field with good time overlap and proceed (even if your scores aren't too close). Just post in the thread to make sure we know what's happening.

    Thanks, Corwyn

P.S. Ben (bhoese) is also offering choice of sleeve prizes for Olympic: for best GIR, and also for highest total from this calculation: (30-Ave.Distance to Pin) * GIR, which will reward closest to hole average as well.

    hobbe95:

after all good scores on first 2 rounds i have to start practice on olympic:)

i never took a practice shot  befor the first 2 rounds ...

    cheers

Yeah I think I need to get some practice for Oly.

I've managed to wing it for Rd 1 with a practice hole here and there on RSG using mulligans to see different reactions to different shots.

Oly is a different beast altogether.

By the way I am available right now for about 1 1/2 hours if anyone is reading this who could help out with marking my Rd 2.

    Cheers

    Neil

Tbh, I'm not sure if I even want a sleeve of premium balls as a prize if I win one.  It would take me a couple of rounds to get used to the added distance and spin, and they would nearly be gone by the time I did get used to them anyway... and then it's back to the starters since I can't afford to be constantly buying balls for this game.

I wish that premium balls didn't even exist in this game... they make it too easy for the top players in this game to throw darts at every green, and turn an already somewhat expensive game into an obscenely expensive one, unless you can win credits from ready-go's on a regular basis (made difficult due to WGT's stupid 20% commission)
