Ball usage for many with the mulligan is less now that how they used to practice. With the mulligan hit the shot take the mulligan,  2 hits of ball usage. The old way hit the shot hit it back to as close as possible to the original spot hit it again , at least 3 hits of ball usage.

    Still the same 'Sting...

    Hit and miss-one hit

    select Mulligan-2 hits

still three no matter how ya look at it;)

I'm not sure where you are getting that selecting mulligan is 2 shots. I just played a 3 hole practice round. I made 3 birdies. 4-3-3 which is 10 shots. I took 1 mulligan and the end game message showed 11 shots. If the mulligan costs 2 shots then the end game message would have shown 12 shots. Or am I missing something?

He's on a different planet as the rest of us are.

Not really. I see where he is coming from now after rereading and getting a headache trying to understand. He's basically right about the different cost based on the ball you're using but the cost difference is really, really tiny. Hell, the initial cost the way it plays now is tiny regardless of what ball you're using. If you're paying $6 for 3 virtual balls, 1-3 cents is nothing.

In the end I don't think WGT went after this addition with dollars in mind. They just appeased the masses and made it so there was a plus for them as opposed to giving away something for nothing.

What puts him on a different planet is his alternative, charging credits per mulligan, is worse for members than the WGT method of charging ball hits. (e.g. practicing UEL with the free ball costs us credits with his method.)

    +1 on that

    Let me clarify.

    Hit approach-1 hit

Mulligan-1 hit charge (via ball usage) by WGT

    Rehit approach-1 hit

To make that particular shot required 3 hits of ball usage/wear.

FWIW, when using the mulligan option and then looking at the replay, you won't get the mulligan option again for that exact shot. You  get the button but it greys out after you click it. If you actually hit back to where you were you get the mulligan option back. It appears if you do anything BUT click that mulligan button you won't get it.

YJ- Thank you for taking the time to figure out where I was coming from.

I agree the current cost is very small but I'm concerned that WGT is introducing charges to the game that are not within the credits/pro shop/green fee system already in place. It opens up the game to all sorts of "tiny charges" to be hidden within other areas of the game.

BTW, YJ, we took in another pug as a rescue early in July. I'll get some pictures along with her story in the appropriate section of the forums soon.

    who plays practise rounds??????

Exactly! Feature that will never be used by me, but wait that is more than half the new features that are added anyways.

Haven't seen any feature to get excited about in long time.

Some learn quickly, some take longer to learn...

Games, I'd suggest you set up Best of par 3 and purposely hit into the rough and bunker...use Mulligans to get the "save" shots down...both your scrambling and sand saves % is very low...sure, the Mulligan will cost, but in a short period of time you can then be playing rounds with a much better chance to score well.

I mentioned it before, but this will be a great feature for those wanting to learn the UEL's.
