    Mushy01:

WGT is advertised as a worldwide site and should step in and sort this in my eyes.

probably it's just ignorance from some folks in the US who consider themselves center of the world, like David Stern calling NBA winners "world champions" :)

I believe that all such issues (also the pathetic state of the Elite collection that already hasn't changed for a while) can be resolved if there is, er... a political will, of which unfortunately none has been seen so far.

Btw, if sending costs are REALLY so high, wouldn't it make sense to offer say towel + visor + hat + polo shirt package in the Elite Collection at a significant discount? :) Selections of 2 or 3 items of these as well...

somewhere in the back of my mind i think wgt new this would be the eventuality for the non US qualifiers when they were organising the VUSO prizes and couldn't really give a damn to be honest, else they wouldn't have gone down the USGA $25 card route.

maybe the hats cost too much last year.

what better than to issue $25 cards that 99.999% of the non US players won't use anyway.

another money saving exercise where someone's scored big time.

sorry for sounding too cynical but there it is.

Ladies and Gents...insert your postal code for door to door servive.

    Not pretty, is it?

Okay...send all cards/merchandise purchased to a "central" location...who's going to act as one who then gathers it up, and sends it out?

Can every one drive 1 mile to 300+ miles to pick up what was ordered?

I agree in principle to the original post...but does anyone really expect a different out come?

    Edit:

I'd be happy to send you my gift certificate, just send me postage for it.

My fear is, though, the USGA site may not accept "multiple certs"...

But my offer stands if it helps anyone out.

Did anyone realise this was changing. I , now I realise stupidly, thought all was as before and that the hat and USGA membership were on the way as has happened for the previous 4 years. Now it makes sense why I have had at least 4 renewal letters from the USGA in the past 3 months. I actually never cared about the USGA membership but the hat was a nice touch and a small memento of time spent here.

This is just another in a long list of wtf events and I just find this behaviour astounding in a business that expects to grow, so all I can assume is that this is not the long term goal.

I really like this game and the people who play it (well about 99%) and seem to be watching it fall apart and it makes me sad to see such a great potential business being ruined. They could do with a buyout by someone with a big boot.
