Considering that this was the flagship event of the year it started with the non availability of a female avatar - something that was flagged up in the previous year and finished with this......

Be nice to see a comment from the powers that be.....   but I won't hold my breath.

Well done folks. I have a suggestion though... How about ordering what you want, but send it to a friend on here who lives in the US. They could then send it on to you. Im not sure if its cheaper to do it that way, but maybe worth looking into?

    Great idea TMO.

I just spent my lunch hour down in our Shipping Department. I grabbed a baseball cap from someone, threw it in a box (came to less than 1lb) and tossed it on the scale of the postage machine. Told the operator that I wanted to send it to Geneva, Switzerland and another to London, England. Told him I wanted it sent International First Class.

    Here are the results (cost)-

    Geneva- $12.75

    London- $12.75

I think TMO might be onto something. Maybe we can work something out.

    Your thoughts?

    MC

Edit- there may be a "duty tax" on your end when you pick it up from your Post Office.

You folks overseas from us, did you card come in a big manila envelope?

If so, does anyone recall what the postage was on it?

The hat's and bag tags, etc., used to come in a similar sized "fluffy" envelope.

They could do with a buyout by someone with a big boot.

    Yancy?

Or maybe Al could 'step' in -

    lol Paul

How about this. WGT sends everyone overseas who qualified a cap and the USGA cancel all the $25 gift cards to these people. You can't tell me that a cap and the postage comes to over $25. I don't see why it should come down to all of the overseas players to sort this out themselves. For gods sake someone take responsibility.

Cheers Mr C. I received a parcel a while back from a CC member in the US, and didnt have to pay any extra costs on it.

I guess that this is only for "used" or "private" items.

There has been a thread here from a British guy who had to pay customs for WGT caps despite their announcement "free shipping anywhere in the world".

It amazes me people find a way to complain about anything. You dont wanna pay shipping, sell the damn card.

Your buying something from the USGA, take a guess at what US stands for. You qualified for the US Open, hmmm still cant figure it out?

    Icon needs a raise.
