It amazes me people find a way to complain about anything. You dont wanna pay shipping, sell the damn card.

Your buying something from the USGA, take a guess at what US stands for. You qualified for the US Open, hmmm still cant figure it out?

    Icon needs a raise.

The tournament was open to players worldwide. Therefore you would have thought that WGT would have figured out that some non-American people might actually qualify and win a gift card.

And this you would think might actually lead WGT to investigate shipping costs to the rest of the world and realise that the gift voucher wouldn't be worth a damn to us.

The cheapest item on the site (a golf pin) costs $50 dollars to ship to Ireland.

I spent a lot of money on balls etc to qualify, I am not giving it away for free.

WGT at the very least should allow these vouchers be exchanged for credits.

This also happened in reverse a few years ago.

    Remember the KLM tournament?

The prize was tickets to the R/L KLM Open golf tournament in Holland which started about 3 days after the virtal tournament ended.

A lot of americans won tickets but obviously couldn't use them, and nor indeed could I.

The whole marketing department in WGT should be sacked if they think that this kind of rubbish is good enough

Outch - never heard of that!

Was the prizes' worth in credits added to the earnings?

For such valuable prize, it might be worth to sue the issuing company to deliver what they promised, even if they are overseas. Since they cannot keep their promise due to their own fault (finish too late), some reasonable compensation, NOT in credits, should be possible.

The tickets had to be collected at the course, they weren't even sent to the winners

I didn't even receive my Hat or usga membership for qualifying in the Olympic Open, all i got was renewal letters from usga wanting $$ for a new membership as my previous "congressional qualifier" membership was up.

Funny how it doesn't cost USGA $55 to send renewal letters EVERY MONTH! to us in U.K, but sticking a hat in a similar size envelope costs $55.

2nd year in a row I've been BUMMED by WGT prizes.  Lets all send ours back to WGT to either organize a all in tournament or to exchange them for $25 credits, or we could all chip in and call Mr WGT together.  My house is free

When reading all those post, it might be obvious that WGT has made a mistake here. At least the last years there was a chance 2 receive your prize: I got my USGA package 2 out of 3 times.

WGT cant you reconsider this whole thing and send us the same USGApackage like we used 2 get: cap, tag, rules, USGAmembership etc.

Otherwise it might be an idea you guys organize a tournament 4 the European Non-US Qualifiers with a prizepot in WGTcredits, which equals number of European qualifiers x $25. Of course all USGAgiftcards received by Europeanqualifiers won't be valid anymore when entering. Guess most of us could live with a compromise like this....anyway

    Cheers, GC

Comparing your winnings to the PGA is pretty silly. Those guys likely have to setup ITINS which lets them gross money in the states and pay taxes here in the states. Its a totally diff animal.

I get it people are shafted on shipping. It stinks. Does anyone expect anything less from WGT?

WGTs partnership with USGA is the only reason the cards are sent out, it costs WGT nothing. So they will never give credits out of their pockets for players outside of the US, makes no sense for them to do it.

Id be happy to get any return at all from an online video game. Also, 97% of the players on this game would love to have won a $25 gift card.

Dazza ill take your card for Nikes, PM me if your serious.

No serious answer from WGT.... (almost) as usual. Bias 2 US players on this game is astonishing.....even less incentives 4 players from rest of the world 2 seriously compete in (major) tournaments. You WGTguys seriously have 2 consider changing your name....... USGT....

    Cheers, GC

Wouldn't it be easier if WGT just added the USGA Gift Card to the other GiftCards as a method to purchase credits?
