Is there a way to fade the ball or draw it?

    Thanx

There is a characteristic called shot shaping.  Hitting the first mark prior to the ding or the mark just after the ding, or any point between those two marks and the ding will result in the ball fading or drawing.  It isn't a true fade or draw, however.  it just causes the ball to go to either the left or right of the target.

you will sacrifice some distance in doing that but it does come in handy on a few holes.  I think most all clubs have 1/2 dot of shot shaping.

IMHO, shot shaping is not active as a feature, it's more the use of an errant shot. Nevertheless, it's useful at some holes (e.g. OLY ##1 and 5).

If you name the marks on the classic meter scale A to F from left to right, then D is the "ding" mark. For this provisional shot shaping, the neighboring marks C and E are important. Try to hit just outside of these marks, in the B-C and E-F zones, to receive a nice curving draw or fade.

well put, it sure isn't draw or fade!  Gets the job done on quite a few holes, #10 Merion, #1, #10, #5 Oly, there are a few more.

Aim is still very important too when you are clicking before or after ding.

Another hole to click on the line before the ding is...  Beth#2, using driver off the blacks

This is probably the best thing i have ever read on these forums,   I consider myself a decent player, but OLY has always torn me up.  I went and practiced there after reading this and I am feeling dumb for not knowing this before.  This tip for sure makes #1 a much easier hole...ty

Allosso is on the money. BB, bolloxinbruges or, Botox as I used to call him, was the most excessive and creative player, yet, to be seen here with this technique. So was avatarlee, but not very much so with tibbets. He could ding every shot, all the time.
