I have a long experience in computer technical support and software packages running on mainframes. The most basic thing we had to do was ensure we had back up of the iive system, and we would run updates of software applications on a test system, that was more advanced ( updated ) than the live system, so much so that when we went live with an updated application , we were 100% sure of it running successfully.
When you work for organisations like the DHSS in the Uk, and Chase Manhattan running systems that have to be online everyday to allow the dealing room to operate, then downtime just isn't acceptable.
So my question is why and what did WGT get wrong in their last update to necessitate a second maintenance..
The answer will be interesting because if for example they were trying to change something in gameplay, then at least we can judge for ourselves the success or not of the change. But of course WGT never tell us of their intentions do they.
