RG players and winds...what ya think????

  I've a solution Icon..

   

  How about WGT implement a simple poll at the start of each RG

  "Would you like all players to receive the same/similar winds?"

   

  Yes or no.

  Let the masses speak;)

  Huh? The random winds eliminate any chance of fairness. Please explain how everyone playing the same tournament, paying the same entry fee, under the same conditions could possibly be viewed as unfair. Maybe I'm missing something...

  Glassman you are missing nothing. This right here is down right craziness at its finest.

  Not one excuse in the book for this. Icon did not answer my questions at all. Beat around the bush as usual.

  Hate to say it, but lost a little respect from me for sure. Don't think i will be thinking the same about this game after this. There is no reason this should be taking place. Winds should have been the same for all a long time ago.

  Edit #2: Ya know i was just thinking Icon. Your opinion on this subject carries no more weight than any of the players here.

  Your opinion is irrelevant as far as i'm concerned. Are you playing in these tourneys? Right,, i didn't think so!  We either need a poll,,,, which we already know the outcome of that,,, lol

  Or....we need the person that makes the decisions on this game to decide. 

  What are we going to do??

  Would it not be easier, to say nothing of fairer and more realistic, if, rather than exactly the same winds the wind is 'pinned' to say a 5 degree variation either side (so 10 degrees in total) and 5 mph +/- for the whole course? i.e. for the entire round the wind is blowing from (for example) 350 - 360 degrees at 7 - 17 mph, then as the direction of each hole changes so will the relative angle of the wind.

  That way it is closer to reality, winds do vary a little and we do get gusts and calms, but it would also be close enough so no-one can predict exactly what they'll get, (although for the life of me I can see no significant advantage in that).
