Anyone got the level 96 Versa putter?

I had the level 70 Versa and was quite happy with it and before that the Rossa.

I saw the level 96 has 5 dots for precision so decided to buy it . . . I need all the help I can get lol.

I don't know if I was expecting great things with it but they didn't materialize . . . missed some putts in my 1st few games with it I'm sure I woulda got with the level 70 . . . was worried!

Just played a game and the putts started dropping . . . maybe takes getting used to?

Jury's still out as to whether it's worth all the spondoolies . .

I got it. Seems a tad bit better than my old trusty Rossa. One thing is you really need to hit the ding. With my Rossa a missed ding shot would go in sometimes but with Versa if you miss the ding it never seems to go in  maybe the 5 dots of precision means you have to hit the ding. Not sure it was worth the money.

The best part about the putter is, it goes exactly where you aim it.  The worst part about the putter is, it goes exactly where you aim it.

I tried the putter and IMHO it is for the elite of the game. If you can read the putts perfectly and execute perfectly then that 5 dots of precision will make a difference to you. I can't read the breaks consistently so the putter I use makes little difference. I found this putter worked better with slow meter balls. I usually play the level 33 cal so the level 70 works better for me because I can hit the slower meter more consistently. Its not so much the putter as the person using it anyway, there are people that do quite well even at TL with the beginner putter that has 1 dot forgiveness thats it.

i find it an awesome putter for misding putting. being a rossa owner for most of my time here due to being a misding putter, this is the only putter i can say is better than my rossa.

whether its worth the money is debatable - my longer putts are more consistent now, shorter putts still the same.

if i didnt have the creds id prob stay with the rossa. but im glad i bought it - i think its worth it in the long run.

I love mine, a big step up from the lower level one in my opinion.  I play to hit the ding but on slight misses I still hole a lot of putts.

Whether it's worth the price is a matter of opinion.  How much is 1 less shot per round worth to you?

I almost exclusively play to miss the ding so maybe I shouldn't have chosen a putter with such high precision . . . is it very precise just when you hit the ding? Who knows . .

How in the space of a few replies can we have two completely contrasting views regarding the ding.

Tom ( Wonto ) who I respect massively both as player and person says he can miss ding and still make the putt.

That is what my Level 71 Nike does on shorter putts, and even on longer ones with break, a miss ding  on the high side usually yields good results as well.

I am not going through my WGT life without trying it out, so I am saving up to buy.

FWIW Lobsterboy, maybe u have to experiment and see how much  u can miss the ding by,  and still make the putt. That is how I learnt with my Nike - it takes the pressure off, when u have makeable putts.

I expect to hole everything under 12 foot now, with the Versa I will expect to hole evrything under 20 foot, or is that asking too much.

    40 bucks ffs, I don't think so;

An improvement of 1 shot over 9 holes is huge for me.

FWIW, I'm a miss-ding putter.  My observation is it goes where aimed.  If you miss the ding by a certain amount, the putt will follow that missed line with high precision.  That is what I personally want in a putter.
