Sooo,  what's the verdict on these so far?

I was going to rent them this weekend but have had too much on.

I like the bladez, very much, i rented the g20's and really found it hard to find anything about them i could praise.  the slower meter was about the only thing that i could honestly say beat the bladez.

That was a terrible disappointment to me as I was half expecting the same impact from the higher g20's as their lower level counterparts had when i upgraded to them from the r11 irons.

i'm closing in on r11's slowly still got a fair way to go but a little wary of the meter, I don't have the cat-like reflexes of a spritely 20 year old, more the sedate manouvres(sp) of a 42 year old tortoise!

In an ideal world, the stats on the speeds tell porkie pies and have slightly better performance than the bladez.

    Say it's so... ;)

    Bump:

Any info on these SpeedBaldez people? I would like to hear about them also..

Any Legend tier players out there playing these?

Im going to buy another set of irons myself. but want some feedback on the Speedbladez as I've already got the Rocketbladez.  It does show all the same specs.

Don't want to waste me money on Irons of the same caliber so I'm looking for some info here on these "NEW" irons.

You`ll be able to handle the r 11`s . I bought them a week ago , and I use the lower 33+ Cally to handle them . Using the nike ball , you should have no problem with them . I`m still getting used to them , as I was using the 79+ bladez , before these . Still havent made up my mind , as to if the r11s are the clubs for me. By next week , I`ll know for sure. Happy Swinging :-)

I must be doing something wrong. I use the R11's with a Nike ball and I'm still not getting close to the pin.

I've played over 200 rounds with them now and still don't feel confident with them. Maybe it's because for so long I had used the G20's. The meter speed is faster and the yardage is different, but I'll perserve with them as I know they are regarded as the best.

Apparently. But I'm 4 months from the R11's and I'm very interested to see if the SpeedBlades are an improvement over the RocketBladez, which I find to be only marginally better than the lower level G20s.

I rented the speedblades over the weekend and found em very kind to hit,as i like the slower meter. Also the shorter irons hav 10yard increments, which enables greater accuracy. They dont slop as quick as R11's but not alot of difference.

Overall, very nice clubs and i would recommend to anyone at that level looking to upgrade.

Based off DDRoss and Bluey403's comments, I decided to go ahead and buy these. I played Bethpage B9 as it has a good mix of elevation and flat approaches.

First impressions: they appear to be superior to the L79 Bladez. They are definitely more forgiving. My very first approach at #10, a 204 yd 4 iron, I was a smidge early(meter may be slightly slower than the Bladez) and cringed thinking the shot would react as it would with the Bladez and go about 6-7 yards off line. Nope. Inside 8 feet.

Same thing happened at #12. Millimeter ding miss, which for a 220 yard shot usually results in being at least 4-5 yards wide of target with the Bladez. Nope. Stopped 5 feet away, on the opposite side of the miss. So nevermind the 2.5 dot forgivness. I would bump that up to 3, maybe 3.5.

On precision: No surprises. Very accurate. The 3-4 dings all ended up right at the stick. I haven't worked out distances quite yet, obviously, so I was a bit long or short of a couple of the shots.

Trajectory and spin. They're sticky! Stopping power is at least as good as the Bladez, possibly better. I used FBS with a 4 iron on #17 and spun it back about 6-8 feet with my Nike ball.

Meter: seems slower than the Bladez but that may just be me.

Distances: same as the Bladez. 220/205/190/175/160/145/135/125.

Overall I'm pretty excited to have these in my bag going forward. The Bladez just never performed consistently for me

Oh and here is a replay for 2DAMFLASHY.
