Neil.. when you get there mate you want the R11s trust me.
The faster meter you will get used to and the R11s are far more forgiving. Don't get me wrong i play with the slow meter ball, but not because of the irons meter speed.
I love the slow meter ball for putting. Before they came out with it i was playing the level 33 Cally ball and not having any problems at all. This damn slow meter ball though for putting is addicting i hate to say it... lol.
The big thing in my opinion is the R11 3 iron. This thing is worth its weight in gold. Par 3's that you thought were hard,,, just became birdies. This thing will smack a ball over 240 yards off the tee, and sometime back up..lol. Depending on hole this club from back tee and having plenty wind.... i can't see not having it.
Some legends even tour legend still like the Rockets.... but the R11s have the advantage without any doubt. Fly high... stop on a dime. With Nike ball..... dangerous..hehe.
Thanks for the advice Gerald. I think I'll give them a try for sure, but it took a long time for me to adjust to the Bladez meter and I wonder if I will even be able to adjust to the R11 meter. But you did say they are more forgiving, so that could probably offset the fact that I'll miss a bit more.
I used to play a 3.5 dot feel ball and it seemed to cause meter jitters, so I switched to a 3 dot ball on a hunch that it would be smoother and now the meter speed seems just right(and smoother). I may go back to the 3.5 dot ball when the time comes to try the R11s. No doubt those balls make it easy to putt!
Yes Neil,, the R11s are way more forgiving for sure. Most of time a missed ding with the R11s will finish much closer than the blazes. I also find missing on purpose against the wind works very well with the R11s.
Also the yardage you will get against the wind R11s are very nice. It takes a lil time to adjust to any new clubs for sure Neil,, but if trying to score the best you won't work as hard if have the R11s. They can just hit shots that no other club can hit. I guess that statement right there says it all.
OOO...BTW... very nice shooting sir in the Merion front 9 ready go.... well done!!
