Yes Neil,, the R11s are way more forgiving for sure. Most of time a missed ding with the R11s will finish much closer than the blazes. I also find missing on purpose against the wind works very well with the R11s.

Also the yardage you will get against the wind R11s are very nice. It takes a lil time to adjust to any new clubs for sure Neil,, but if trying to score the best you won't work as hard if have the R11s. They can just hit shots that no other club can hit. I guess that statement right there says it all.

OOO...BTW... very nice shooting sir in the Merion front 9 ready go.... well done!!

Thanks Gerald and congrats on the win! That was easily my best front nine at Merion.

To your point about the R11s - on #9 I was just a little too far out for the 3 iron and ending up hitting a terrible 3W to about 35 feet and the par probably cost me the tiebreaker. I could have hit 3 iron and hoped for a +5 yard deviation, but I was afraid of a -5 deviation that would have put me in the front bunker. I'm sure you had no trouble with that shot. ;)

Thank you Neil. Yes #9 is a 3 iron all day. Wind would have to be crazy there.

That shot in that particular round.. i hit the 3 iron about 95% and with a touch of spin. Landed about 10 feet to the right. Easy bird.

That is what i'm talking about Neil. RSG has a couple of par 3's that depending on wind 3 iron is the play. Few more holes also.. CCC that long par 3 forget which hole but can hit the 3 iron and stop on dime downwind. Can't do that with nothing else.

Really a bunch of holes. Not saying the Blades are bad... as you just proved..lol. But the R11s are just that much better.

Hit em well mate. Your looking good.

I could not resist this any longer and rented the speedbladez.

    There is a difference!!

I am landing a yard or two short with full backspin.

The biggest difference is that when I missed ding by a mm with the rockets , I knew I would be in trouble.

Tese are still on the flag with a slight ding miss.

Same meter speed in my opinion, but these babies have got to be as close as 2,9 forgiveness.

Thanks neilecramer for your assessments of the TM Lvl 75 Speedblade Iron Set back in 2013.

Due to your recommendation, I took the plunge a few days ago as the TM R11's Level 30 somethings were not giving enough loft.

Things now much, much better.  Thanks Neil
