As suspect as it is, I'm sure WGT feels they must have indisputable proof to disqualify players and ban the account from future play. As indicated in the thread yesterday, they are attempting to combat cheating but it's easier said than done.
As for paying them out, it doesn't save them anything to withhold payment from that player. They just pay someone else the same amount instead.
I don't see WGT shutting down that format as it's too lucrative to them. The cheating in lower tiers is rampant enough, though, that RGs should be avoided by all but the most talented of players.
RGs should come with a warning label like packs of cigarettes do.... :)
