    skccvb:

Yes, 97 Nike irons play shorter with full bs than R11's- with lvl 81 Nike balls:

    3 iron- 227 (230)- parens = R11

    4 iron- 205 (210)

    5 iron- 189/90 (190)

    6 iron -176 (180)

    7 iron- 157 (160)

    8 iron- 145/6/7/8- this 1 is tricky (150)

    9 iron- 130 (135)

    PW- 113 (115)

Nike irons are more consistent, and much easier to ding/off ding at will- and they STOP! However, be advised in higher winds, you MUST off ding into wind more than R11's-and adjust distance accordingly.

Nice list.   Just a query on the 3iron as it shows longer than 225

Back spin causes carry with that club.

The 97 Nikes are simply the best we have. Simple fact of life. Better still, is the fact that when played with Nike Platinum balls, back-spin or top-spin are very rarely needed with any distance faced.

I will never buy those platinum balls, I fear how my 60 wedge with top spin will still come back 3 yards

But I can see how they would work with the 85 nike irons.

    Happy new year Lily ;)

I really would like to "try" hint ,hint (free rental weekend) :) the R11s , since hearing more positive then negative comments about them, its the hand eye coordination for me with the quick meter & having 2 use the slow meter Nkes or Max balls all the time...   Cant wait till level 97 though for the Nike irons, should be there in 2016  :-)  ...

They are fast ! But you get used to them.

I was scared of them until I bought them!

I have them mapped out with 4 different balls if you should buy them !

I am only 600.000 points away from the 97 nikes , so a few months away ;)

I throw this out there to think about without actually knowing if is really relevant to you or not.

Quickly looking at your history you have swapped balls recently.  At Legend best stick with one good set clubs, map thoroughly with only one given ball and proceed like that.  I would wait until a free rental at least before getting the R11s (they are faster), and the Nikes you have are more than capable of getting your scores to a great standard (see Legend tier RG leaderboards).

I actually bought the lower level Nike irons (already had the R11's) before reaching level 97 and preferred them about 90% of the time as I could ditch the Max balls (avoiding the late hit blues) and ding away with great stopping power using regular Nike balls...having said that the 97 clubs and RZN Nikes are heaven...when VEM isn't on "fook off" lol
