    Jimbog1964:

Kind of mainly reiterating the immediately above.

Appreciate you coming to forum to put the company line down.  Problem is the company has not covered it's self in glory in under promising and over delivering.  If it were a listed company the markets would be reacting with something like, "lack of confidence sees not much room for optimism" which translates to shares stuffed.

Thanks for the corporate line clarification, but the corporate line needs at least a time frame to be worth much.

At the moment two new bucket and spade sand pits for the kiddies, and grown ups can get on with what they have ad nauseam ...

In short marks out of 10 from those aged over 8 yrs of age....It's 2 from me, until some sensible time frame is put on it.

If there was a time frame to give I would.  Seriously the ink was barely even dry when the announcement was made.  There are a lot of logistics that go into photographing a course.  If I get a more exact time frame I am more then happy to pass it along.

We'll probably get Pebble Beach in 2016 seeing as we've already got that year's venue, Oakmont. Pretty much the reverse of what happened in 2010.

I'm glad to hear Pebble Beach will be a full stroke play course before 2019.

?????   Who said that??    I didn't hear that.  Maybe i can't read all that good.

I didn't see that in this thread....... no?

Of course you didn't see it. You're so biased it makes you blind to many of the realities of how WGT has to function.

I based my comment on what WGTdbloshoe has said in this thread and the article also linked to in this tread.

    • Pebble Beach Company and WGT have just strengthened their partnership with a new multi-year agreement, which will include a full 18-hole stroke play experience on Pebble Beach Golf Links®, expanding on the current closest-to-the-hole course that’s hosting the Virtual Tour this month.

The 2019 date for Pebble Beach as an 18 hole stroke paly US Open venue is based on an agreement that includes the USGA.

Ok, shoe, being as how what you've said is incredibly refreshing and forthcoming in it's succinct information, could I beg you to maybe go a step further and address the potential of reading  too much into what you say about Bandon? Is it or is it not going to be only a 9 hole par 3 situation and/or what Richard excitedly speculated...a full 18 holes of stroke play. Just yea or nay, if you please. Just so it's out there and we know. Thanks.

    WGTdbloshoe:

Just wanted to clear some things up for everyone.

Pebble Beach will be a FULL 18 hole course.  The course has not been photographed yet so there is not an exact time frame as when it will be released.

Pinehurst will be the next course released.  This will be released in the coming months.

Bandon Dunes has been photographed and is in the beginning stages of being put together.

So a Recap - Pinehurst coming soon.  Bandon next up, fallish time.  Pebble will be a Full 18 and no exact time frame.

Thank you again for communicating what you can.  If you get a spare five though goes without saying may be worth reminding the brass that some of the peasants are revolting.

For my part I don't consider that my fault.  I am afraid that mutton vindaloo, spinach bhaji and pilau rice washed down by quaffing around 7 pints of real ale goes down great, but just plays havoc with me:).

Please accept my apologies for that  .

As far as we know, it's a 18 hole par 3 course. No stroke play

How can it be a par 3 course and not be stroke play? That doesn't make sense. If it's not stoke play it would  have to be CTTH but it was not advertised as CTTH.

I think what Icon meant was not a full Par 72 Stroke play.  But it will be 18 holes made up of Par 3's from Bandon Dunes with a par of 54.

Yup.... i must be seriously biased.  Because i read it all. Did not see anything that could lead to your conclusion. The realities of how WGT has to function????????????

Please help me with that.... i'm totally lost.

Unless you work for WGT i can't see what your talking about. You are guessing........ at best. OOO...... i'm sorry..... you are hoping....lol.

Yes i am very blind..... i don't see any of WGT's   BS hook dangling. And....... never will.

I have been here long enough to know..... stay away from the bait. Kinda like a old rat..... reason hes old....lol.

I do see the new members are not taking the cheese,,, their looking for this golf game they seen on the Golf Channel commercial. I told them game doesn't exist....lol.

They said this game sucks and looks nothing like the commercial...... and they left.  ;)

Read the reviews for this game on the Golf Channel. I would say... will not be long before the Golf Channel will be dropping this game like a bad habit. And..... these reviews are real,,,shame WGT can't moderate those post....LMAO!!!

Teaming up with the Golf Channel might hurt this game way more than helps. WGT has zero control on that site. Players are left to give their own honest opinion. Yup... can't just erase them and make them go away.

You see the internet can be a good and bad thing for one's reputation.

When you deceive people normally comes back to bite ya. Looks like munching going on as we speak.

    :)

Edit: Anyone that has been here any length of time knows how this company operates. Some just refuse to see it. Those are the people WGT goes after.... they are the prey.

One 18 hole stroke play course a year. Yup... continue with that.... will be a lot less prey... trust me.

Hmm... seems schedule has been released for the Virtual Tour. No stroke on Pebbleage...... negative. Had all those players all jazzed up. Took a rocket scientist to figure that one... hehe.

I think now the current ownership of Pebble is led by none other than.... Clint Eastwood, Dick Ferris, Peter Ueberroth, and the King himself... Arnie.

I'm sure Chad had lunch with one or if not a few of them to discuss the situation.  :)

I tell you what the reality is...... these gents could give a flying f.... about any virtual golf game...lol.

    Richard4168:

    Thanks for the update WGTShoe.

I remember the community complaining about the Dunes only being a par 3 course that was promised in January. A "fallish" timeline suggests it will be a full 18 hole stroke-play course. This is great news if its true.

And full 18 hole stroke-play on Pebble? This is huge and will be well worth the wait IMO. It could be a fantastic 2014 Christmas at WGT folks. If not before.

Pinehurst is going to be a fun Summer addition as well. This is the news that makes the game exciting to play again.

I think what WGTShoe really said was,The Dunes is still just going to be a pitch and putt it just wont be released until the fall, We will get the open course Pinehust in May as usual and Pebble when its the open course in 2019.

I enjoy this game as much as anyone but I for 1 am done drinking the Kool-aid. It is what it is, optimisim is great but WGT is going to do as little as possible to inhance the game  their only concern the last year or so is how to increase their revenues. But when your the only game in town, if you want to play you have to play by their rules.
