    From Leo (phiber) today:

It looks like I will be going through a lot of stuff over the next little while and I am not too sure of how much time I will have to devote to club activities, doesn't look like much right now.  I will still be around and will play when I can but as of right now, I have no idea what the time thingie looks like.  Every trip down there will tell me more and I will definitely keep you informed but with all that is going on, I think it best for me to step back away from the club ownership thing until we know a lot more about a lot more.  About all we know right now is that there is a mass at the end of my esophagus and that it is malignant.  We don't know stages or anything until after the CT scan Friday night.

Leo has been the big Brother I never had, a Vietnam vet, gentleman, husband, father grandfather, and a true asset to WGT!

If possible could you find the time to leave a prayer on Leo's profile page!

    Thank you in advance,

    mgbirish (Michael)

Thank You all so very much.  Trying times and a lot of uncertainty as the very early stages of diagnostics reveal such a devastating disease.  It's your thoughts, prayers and words that give me the peace of mind that makes all this stuff more bearable.

With all this prayer I feel certain that I am in store for some good news somewhere along this new journey. I appreciate you all so very very much.

Here is all I know about this sickness as of today.  This is an Adenocarcinoma of the Esophogus and we don't yet know that stage it is in.  We do know it is treatable but that is it.  I will be in my first oncology appointment on the 16th and if is then that we will know a lot more about what it to come down the pike.  So as it stands today there is no prognosis but I know that with the prayers and so many brothers and sisters helping me with that, I am sure to hear some good news about this bad thing.   God bless each of you, just as he has blessed me for having you all as my brothers and sisters and for helping me fight this beast.

    Leo

Thank you to all for the prayers, I truly need them now. It's hard to find words that accurately describe my feelings right now, but your thoughts and prayers give me the peace of mind that makes each day brighter and easier. May God Bless each of you!

I do not know you either.  My positive thought's are with you for the fight you have ahead.  It goes without saying that medical science has been able to turn much around, that was previously not the case.  Sincerely Jim.
