Lucky You !!! Sounds keen. ENJ0Y!!!

    June,Saturday the 14th

In 1958, in very clean, tidy...beautiful, hot ('bout 98 d), muggy (humid 'bout 101) TUSA. At a perfect, extremely difficult, super long, Top Shelf Greens - rock hard lightining fast, Southern Hills CC; "Terrible Tempered" Tommy Bolt `uses a go-low 283 to edure the special-ordered, imported, White Egyptian sand ( almost like powder) & rough that is impossible.  Ask Hogan...doing very well, he hit from rough, injured his hand, and withdrew.

Tommy Bolt ~ The 58th US OPEN ~

    June 15             ~ Happy Fathers Day ! ~

Way back in 1901,  At the posh Myopia Hunt Club in Massachusettes, young Willie Anderson, $hits a rude 331 to become the champion of the 7th US Open

And then, in 1947 at a humid 101, St. Louis CC in Missouri with a fine 282, Lew Worsham earns the 47th US Open

in 1969 "0L' Sarge" enjoys the best day of his 'entire' life. At Champions GC in Houston (good luck with that weather ~ miserable) Mr. Orville Moody smooths a 281 and is the 69th US Open Champion

so then, in 1980, a 40 year old has been ( yes, he has been) Jack Nicklaus eats up and enjoys Dining at Baltusrol GC in New Jersey. With a very neat 272, Golf's Best takes the 80th US Open

Then, in 1986, at that 'Hampton Heaven', Shinnecock Hills Golf Club (a Stanford White treasure) in New York, Raymond Floyd uses a 279 and wins the 86th US Open

Then in 1997,( 0H, C00L ), at our very own WGT CC, Congressional CC, out there in Bethesda, Marysland, Big Easy Boy, Ernie Els is the 97th US Open winner with a 276

and so, we then go to Illinois in 2003 ( to catch some of that fine Chi - Town weather...in June) then go to Olympia Fields CC (snotty) and we watch Jim Furyk (dude is a 'stick') get pretty damn happy to win US Open -103rd with 272

    Certainly Also ~

1923 in Troon Scotland, at the awesome Troon Golf Club, a Gentleman, named Arthur Havers, cobbles a 295 to take the Clerit Jug (F-ing empty) and the 58th British Open

Today marks my One Year Anniversary here up on WGT.

A year ago was the VUSO @ Merion. I had just watched the pros have a go at this course, so I thought I would take a crack at it. YIKES...talk about baptism by fire! Playing from the tips and with Champ. speed greens, using starter equipment, I was out of my element very quickly. I played the course a few more times, not knowing that all those doubles, snowmen and others were being tabulated and kept on my rap sheet.

My game has improved since then and I enjoy the challenges that each of the courses here offer. I didn't think I would ever get one of these shots, but it did happen.

I tend to read more in the forums then I respond to, and this particular thread , I check upon on a daily basis to see what new I can learn and perhaps what videos can entertain and/or inspire me.

Lily & Kat, keep up the great work!  Cheers!

What was printed on the business card (name of the show), and what was the name of the character (it was printed on the card as well)!

Have a wonderful Hump Day, everyone!
