It's a small difference but it may make the difference.

First off, the "demand" thing was tongue-in-cheek, once you're there a 59 should be well possible.

But, on a serious note, there are too many people here keeping wrong rumour alive. Thus I'd like to stay clear that IMNSHO the threshold is to the number (60.000) like with all other tiers and not below.

    Friendship!

Silverfox-thanks a lot for that breakdown. I am a newbie here and I was wondering what the numbers were to advance a tier. Easy to understand.

Just curious...based on the information I've gleaned from this thread, it would seem like a Master with 84 ranked rounds and a 63.00 average would be promoted to Tour Master, but those are exactly my stats right now, and I'm still classified as Master.  Is it possible that the stat is actually 62.99 or less?

Your scoring average is calculated to more than the 4 digits they display, so your scoring average could be 63.003 and not 63.000

That thought is in the right direction Apex.

Calculating the average from 40 Master scores in saturation, a single shot counts 1/40 = 0.025. That means that instead of 60.003, only 59.995 and 60.000 are possible as well as 60.005. The two former would be good enough to tier up, the latter would display as 60.01. None of these options is the case here.

His score history is shortened to less than 30 Master scores, but these are extraordinary, all around 30! Perhaps he played no ranked round from Sept '14 or longer?

Please allow me to guess that the average is not yet saturated, some scores missing towards the progression to TM tier. In this case, intermediate averages like 60.003... are possible due to the various denominators below 40.

    Happy hitting!

Edit: It's not the total ranked rounds but only those in the respective tier (excluding Par3s and Par5s).

Thanks Alosso for your analysis...so, I wonder if perhaps the system thinks I don't have 40 Masters scores total...I posted a 31 earlier today which took me down to 62.97, but am still classified as Master.  I show 24 scores in my history, and I know I've played a lot more ranked rounds before those last year, so I'm rather puzzled.

Not a big deal really; just curious since it doesn't seem to match up with everything that's out there on the subject.  Thanks Again!

This extends what I was saying. Either you have not played more Master rounds, or the system thinks so.

    Hi all,

I have read many posts with regards to advancing through the tiers and am still confused.

I read that 72 or under as an avarage score and 20+ ranked rounds moves me from Pro to Tour pro........................no it dont....lol.

My average is 70.44 with 28 ranked rounds...........is it me????

    Regards
